Invisalign could definitely fix this problem. It's difficult to say for sure from the photos but I'm guessing Smile Direct wouldn't help much at all. The upper centrals need to move up and in and Smile Direct probably couldn't do either movement.

Invisalign is very much a tool for moving your teeth, just as a hammer is for building a house. Experience and knowledge using Invisalign can yield vastly different outcomes. You might ask for example before and after cases and how long they took to finish to evaluate your provider's expertise using Invisalign.

I would ask the office for a referral to another dentist. Sometimes when a dentist leaves town for a week they refer their emergency patients to another dentist that they're friends with. A tooth without a temporary can move a lot in a week, there's a good chance that your permanent crown won't fit quite right at your next appointment. 

I think you would be a great Invisalign candidate. You can definitely rotate your canine and pull it into the arch. As for pulling your entire right side down, you'd have to go to extreme lengths to correct that and Invisalign wouldn't do it. I can't see your overbite and overjet but IPR and Invisalign should be able to lessen those.

I agree with you that the veneers are a little too opaque compared to your natural teeth. Choosing an emax translucency is a difficult process, and the decision is usually made by the lab. Of course on a difficult case it needs to be a discussion between the dentist, patient and lab. The translucency used on the emax ingot depends on several things - prep design, underlying tooth color, and color of your natural teeth. So without seeing the prepped tooth with the veneer off it would be difficult to say for sure.

You have two options to increase translucency for a new set of veneers. For one, you could just use HT emax, but that could lead to a grey edge. The other option would be to use MT again, but have the lab cut it back and layer on a more translucent porcelain over the top. Cutting back and layering is standard procedure for veneers. Either one could be the right option for you depending on the prep design and underlying tooth color. Good luck!
