It is wonderful because it is safe for ALL skin types and color. I suggest looking in your area for an experienced practitioner with the PICOWAY.

The glabella is typically treated with anywhere from 15-30 units. It depends on the muscle size, strength of the muscle pull,  how much muscle movement the patient wants. Best to be seen by your injector in person to determine number of units. But I would suggest about 15-20 units.

This is all about the office you go to. I do not mind if a patient has numbing on before they come into my office. I do prefer to know the exact product the person is using so I understand how long it will last and so on. Best to be in great communication with your injector. While most fillers have some numbing in them, the beginning injections can be really painful. Numbing cream for a good 20 minutes prior to procedure can make a huge difference. Ask your injector to run their preferences on numbing prior to booking.

Great question! One of the primary reasons we don't want a lot of movement or touching of the face post Botox treatment is because we want the product to stay in the muscle layer that is was placed. Sounds like the little bonk on the face from your dog was minimal and won't cause any issues. Now if you said, "the dog laid on my face for an hour during a nap", then we may have an issue. Best to stay upright and don't use too much expression post treatment to ensure you have the desired result.

Botox takes 14 days for full active activation. It is possible you were undertreated and need more units. This is something you will need to go over with your injector. Please also keep in mind, other than a touch up appointment, always wait the full three months for your next Botox treatment. Waiting the necessary time between treatments will keep you sensitive to the product so that it continues to work. Sometimes when Botox is ineffective, I encourage my patients to try Dysport instead.
