I have been a patient of Dr. Alpert for over 20 years. My first surgery with him was an ex-plant of Dow Corning implants and a lift in 1995. I looked great. Since then I have had several procedures including implants, breast lift, lower face lift, and eyes. He is a wonderful surgeon who will not do a surgery because you want it if he feels you are not ready. He is sweet caring doctor and you can talk to him about anything. His staff is amazing, kind and thorough. I'm getting ready for a neck lift in May.
I was suffering from differential aging, my neck having that turkey webbing and my forehead and eyes remaining wrinkle free. Dr. Alpert has a very good touch and the results were great, although I wish it had been a bit tighter because the area he butterflied under the chin is drooping a bit. Otherwise the recovery was fairly easy and my features much improved.
Facelift surgery is typically not a very painful procedure. Generally patients feel tired the first day after surgery, and then feel well enough to take a walk two days later. There is some swelling and bruising of the face and neck that most commonly resolves in 2 weeks. Most patients with some makeup are comfortable in public at that time. Some decide to go back to work after 10-12 days.
