Exactly 4 weeks ago, I had my first ThermiVa treatment. One year and two months prior I had had MonaLisa Touch with good results. I was overdue for treatment, experiencing many symptoms; including: urinary leaking; stinging skin tissues with urination; extremely dry (vaginal) tissues; need to urinate at least once during night time sleep; odorous urine; stream crooked; first urination cloudy. Dr. Benton Chun and Dr. Angela Pratt of Hawaii Beauty & Wellness Center met with me before the treatment and went over what it would entail and answered any questions I had. The treatment was in a clean, well-lit room with a comfortable exam table and stirrups. The assistant came in to get me ready and remained present helping with the equipment and the gel. Treatment began inside the vagina with Dr. Chun skillfully maneuvering the small wand (much smaller than MonaLisa Touch device). I felt some warmth, but the gel helped soothe my skin. When Dr. Chun's treatment was complete, Dr. Pratt began to work on the outer labia area. Conversation was light and enjoyable with the doctors always taking precise care to keep the area cool and to give as much time as was needed depending upon my specific symptom needs. When finished, I dressed and met again with both doctors in their conference room. The treatment was easily tolerated and, I want you to know, there was immediate results that I could feel as I practically skipped, with a big smile on my face to my car. There was a visual change to labia and I no longer had the feeling of hanging looseness. One week later I noticed: less leaking and more actual awareness of urge to urinate. There was more control, too. No more stinging, irritated tissues of the inner labia; no leaking at night if I got up to use bathroom; more feeling in the pelvic area with muscle contraction (Dr. Chun reminded me to do those Kegel's!); pee stream perfectly straight, odd odor gone and no more cloudy urine in the morning! Now, at four weeks out I am happy to write that for the past full week, absolutely no more urinary incontinence (even when doing sit ups, sneezing, laughing!). I look better and really feel better as a woman. Now that I am free from all the symptoms listed above, I feel revitalized and rejuvenated emotionally and physically!
