I had a breast lift and arm lift with Dr. Moosavi back in January 2021 (I'm nearly 5 months post-op now) and it was a great experience. His bedside manner was great, his staff were very friendly, all of the recommendations and post-op appointments were very helpful. After about 10 days I had already started to feel back to normal, and the pain was really minimal (I only had to take Tylenol to manage it). Having those procedures have been absolutely life-changing. I was only 29 at the time of operation, but had lost 180 lbs and was left with a lot of loose skin on my arms and breasts (which had deflated from a size J, and now are a nice size D). Having this procedure gave me so much more confidence. I was suffering from extreme body dysmorphia because of how insecure I was about my loose skin, especially my arms. I'm so grateful to Dr. Moosavi and his excellent work.
Some advice I would give to anyone who might be considering surgery for loose skin (this advice isn't specific to this doctor, btw) -
1) If you have body dysmorphia, it won't go away immediately after the surgery. In fact, for me it got worse before it got better. While you're healing up, for about 6 months after you will *not* look the way you expected to. This is because it takes that long for the real results to appear. I was freaking out with a ton of anxiety for a few months after the surgery, but thankfully it calmed down after a while. I felt like I looked extremely boxy while I was healing, which is just how it goes, and also the swelling is a factor.
2) If you see the pre-op marking and aren't 100% sure they're to your liking, speak up right then. Don't be like me, afraid to speak up and question the doctor's work. This is just a character flaw I've had for a while, tbh... I had this exact experience when I got a tattoo - I wasn't 100% happy with the stencil / outline prior to getting a tattoo but went along with it anyway, and who woulda guessed I wasn't happy. No idea why I'm like this lol... But yeah, I had a similar experience with surgery. When I saw the pre-op markings, I thought one nipple was a bit bigger than the other, but I didn't speak up then (I guess out of anxiety). I'm sure the doctor would have re-done the marking without question if I'd spoken up about it.
One nipple did end up slightly larger than the other, which did bother me for a while, but I've made peace with it. They look the same size when my nipples are hard, anyway (that might be TMI lol). But yeah, if anyone here is reading this and has similar tendencies, be aware of that and speak up if you need to! And if this makes you feel better, I truly love my breasts now and feel confident and comfortable even going without a bra, which was never a thing before! It's really a huge change from how I was before.
Overall this was a great and life-changing experience, and I highly recommend it!
PS: The price I listed here is an approximation because I don't really remember, since it's been so long. Including post-op supplies (I splurged a bit) it might have been closer to $11-12k. Also the date of surgery I listed here is wrong, it wouldn't let me input a date beyond 2 years, for some reason.
