I had an extended tummy tuck with breast lift, lipo to flanks and love handles on July 9, 2018. I hated myself two days after the procedure. I’m having a hard time sleeping since I’m not a back sleeper. I still have my drains in, one in each hip. They are beginning to become irritating, as well as irritating the part of the incision they are in. I’m beginning to have that burning feeling on my skin from nerves healing. I haven’t taken pains meds in three days. I take gabapentin for another medical condition that has actually helped with the nerve pain. I go back to see my doc on Wed, the 18. Hopefully the drains will come out. I have to go back to functioning mode this week since hubs has started a new job and I have four busy boys. Going to try to sleep tonight. Updated on 28 Aug 2018: I wasn’t wanting the perfect body. I wanted the skin folds gone and my breasts not to be hanging to my belly button. I still have swelling. I had a wound dehiscence that is almost healed up. I can feel almost everywhere on my abdomen. I don’t wear any spanx or garment at night. I let my skin breathe, doc said that was fine. I wear spanx during the day for support since I get really bad muscle spasms without it when up and walking around. I am able to lay and sleep on my sides, still can’t sleep on my stomach. Doc is happy how everything is looking. I will be purchasing the silicon bandages this weekend to begin the minimizing of my scars.
