QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Circular tummy tuck or regular? (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

I think that you would get a great results with a regular tummy tuck. I don’t think that the additional scars of a circular tummy tuck would be worth the benefit. However I think you would have a better result if you had liposuction of your hips in addition to the tummy tuck for an optimal results.

How long would I need to wait before I am able to have a different procedure on my abdomen? (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

It appears from your photos that you would have benefited more from a tummy tuck. I don't think that you need to wait more than a few weeks to have a tummy tuck, however, if you can lose some weight first, your results will be better.

Am I a good candidate for a breast lift + implants? Can I opt for a tear drop look? (photos)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

The look you want seems to be a little ptotic (sagging), so you probably don't need a lift if you want that sagging look. It does seem that there is a difference in the size of your breasts, but that can be corrected by placing different size implants for your augmentation.

How difficult is it to revise reconstructed breasts after nipple sparing mastectomy when Alloderm is used?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Actually, it is very common that a revision is needed after breast reconstruction - usually to change the size of the implants or to correct an asymmetry in the position of the implants. Sometimes more Alloderm can be used, but usually the Alloderm that is already there has been incorporated into your own tissue and it can be utilized for the revision.
I recommend seeing the plastic surgeon who performed your reconstruction. If that is not possible, find a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who has experience in breast reconstruction and revisions.

Am I a good candidate for lower abdomen liposuction? I am getting a breast augmentation and added lower abdomen lipo (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

It is difficult to tell from your photograph, but if those areas on your lower abdomen are excess fat then it would be amenable to remove with liposuction. It appears to be only small amounts, so it should be no problem to have the liposuction at the same time as your breast augmentation. However, you should consult with your board certified plastic surgeon to see if he is comfortable doing both procedures.

Is there a weight limit to getting a Mommy Makeover? I'm very petite. (photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

A mommy makeover can mean many different things. It simply means anything that will restore your body to a more youthful appearance that you had prior to having children. It usually encompasses having something done to your breasts and abdominal area, but it can be only one of these procedures or something else - such as liposuction. In any case, not being overweight is usually a good thing for someone who is contemplating any kind of plastic surgery. Even though yo are petite, you may have excess or stretched out abdominal skin or muscles from your pregnancies that could be significantly improved with an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). Also, your breasts may be sagging and could benefit from a breast lift and/or augmentation. I recommend that you see aboard certified plastic surgeon who can help guide you through all of your options to restore your body to a more youthful look.

Not sure which type of implant to choose and unsure if I should go above my muscle or below? (Photos)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Type of implant you receive may not be that important. However, if you want upper fullness and cleavage I recommend that you put your implants under your muscle. A board-certified plastic surgeon should be able to explain the differences and all of your options.

Is the stomach muscle that is cut during c-sections repaired during mommy makeover? (Photos)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

You should be able to get your tummy tuck once you reach your goal weight.
The muscles that were cut during your C-section should’ve been repaired at the time of the C-section. However you may still have a gap or loosening of the muscles which can be corrected at the time of your tummy tuck to give you a flatter abdomen.
As far as your breast lift is concerned, you don’t necessarily need to have an implant if you are satisfied with the size of your breasts. However, many patients do get a small implant to give them more cleavage if that is what they desire.
Having a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon will inform you of all of your options and answer all of your questions.

After birthing 2 kids, and my skin stretching out, which procedure would you recommend for someone like me? (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

The best way of removing all your loose skin is with them abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). Your drooping breasts would most likely need a mastopexy (breast lift).
Many times these can be performed together. I recommend that you see a board-certified plastic surgeon who can tell you what all of your options may be. The cost of the procedures vary from area to area and you would be given the costs at the time of your consultation.

I lost lots of weight which changed the size of my breasts, do I need a lift along with my augmentation? (Photos)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

There does seem to be an asymmetry between your two breasts with the right nipple pointing lower than the left nipple. Your breasts definitely would look better with a mastopexy or breast lift and augmentation would be needed if you wanted your breasts to be larger. having a breast lift would probably not prevent you from being able to breast-feed when you become a mom. There are many different types of breast lifts, some with minimal scars. You should consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to determine which is the best option for you.
