I needed major reconstructive surgery following an excision of a basal cell carcinoma beside my nose. I was extremely anxious but was never in any doubt that Barbara would do it well. It was a long operation but I was recovered in 4 weeks, just as she had said. Very good results. Very little scarring one year on.

Needed to remove a skin cancer. Dr Jemec was extremely efficient and professional; calm; great ability to explain treatment and the medical condition; friendly and with personality, wit and charm (very rare!). After having facial skin grafts to replace my eyelid following an accident as a child I was keen to see if anything could be done to improve the asymmetrical appearance of my eyes and forehead. I have an altered muscle dominance as a result of the accident and surgery which was becoming more noticeable as I entered my 30's. She is also the only person I would trust to discuss and plan a surgical revision of my scarring.

Dr. Jemec removed a Lipoma from my cheek. She explained the procedure to me beforehand in detail, as well as let me know what to expect regarding healing, scarring, etc. She was responsive throughout, and cooperated with me fully regarding time constraints. The result of the operation is excellent, the scar is invisible. Dr. Jemec is not only an very professional surgeon, she's also genuinely nice.

Miss Jemec removed a myxoid cyst from the middle finger of my left hand. The nail was deformed, had turned green and was catching on everything, which was very irritating. During the procedure, Miss Jemec explained what she was doing and was very relaxed and often amusing. I experienced very little discomfort. Six months later, the nail had grown back fully. Miss Jemec was recommended to me by a dermatologist who did not feel confident about doing this procedure. He said that her success rate was far greater than his. I am very pleased with the result and a year later there is nothing to show that there was ever a problem. I recommend her highly.

Miss Jemec is a highly experienced professional who instils total confidence. Her empathy and understanding are exceptional as was her care and that of her office. This was a worrying time but made less so by Miss Jemec. She took the time to explain the different options available and the pros and cons of each. We agreed on a skin flap following the procedure which is now healing really well.

A chronically nervous patient I was introduced to Barbara by a Consultant Dermatologist who said that if he was to undergo the required treatment then there was nobody else other than Barbara that he would wish to operate. That was good enough for me. Barbara had to contend with me as well as the mole on my toe which had developed into a malignant melanoma. She treated me wonderfully with great consideration and patience coupled with refreshing clarity and honesty as to both the treatment and prognosis. This continued post operation. She visited me early in the morning after the operation to explain the operation that had taken place and to give me her views from what she had seen subject of course to the further lymph gland biopsy results. When these came through she rang us personally at home to give us what turned out and continues to be great news. I owe Barbara and her support team and my consultant dermatologist everything. It is amazing how the many medical people I have shown my foot to have marvelled at the expertise of her work. Grateful..........this is a total under estimation of what I feel.
