Hello, If the implant was placed at an angle, the angle can be corrected by using angled or custom abutments. I would recommend doing a zirconia abutment and a cement retained crown for any front tooth as it is more esthetic, especially if the implant was angulated. Please see your dentist to discuss these options.
Hello, I believe you can consider veneers to fix your lateral incisors. I recommend doing veneers on the front six teeth at least since this will give a better esthetic result. The teeth will have to be reduced more than they would if you first bring them into the correct position with braces or Invisalign and then do veneers. The dentist can show you a diagnostic wax-up and determine ahead of time how much reduction will be required in order to give you the smile you want.
Hello, Implants do not have any nerve endings and hence there is no sensation with them. I suggest that you have your dentist evaluate the adjacent teeth and even the lower teeth. Sensitivity could be coming from any tooth in that area.
Hello, You will need an appointment for consultation to determine if you have adequate bone to place dental implants for full mouth mouth reconstruction. The dentist will most likely take a 3- dimensional X-ray for diagnostic purposes. Implants take 3-4 months to heal after which the fixed dentures can be made on the implants. If you need additional bone grafting or sinus grafting, it will add 4-5 months to the treatment time. The cost depends on how many implants can be placed and what kind of implant restoration you want. There are many types which will be explained at your consult appointment.
Hello, Since you are unable to locate your previous Invisalign provider, I would recommend that you see a new dentist who provides Invisalign treatment and they should be able to provide you with new retainers. Your records will still be in the system with the company but your dentist will most likely take new impressions for new retainers since you have not worn your retainers for 2-3 years so some change in tooth position would have occurred. Also, if you look carefully, there are numbers on the Invisalign trays so if you know how many trays were a part of your treatment, you should be able to figure out which was your last aligner. That way you can check if it fits.
