After living with the emotional and physical pain of a failed rhinoplasty, finding Dr. Hyman was truly life-changing. From our very first meeting, he led with unmatched expertise, compassion, and artistry. I immediately knew I was in the right hands. My primary surgery had left me feeling like a stranger in my own face — with a nose that was overly short, scooped, and upturned, along with breathing issues. For years, it weighed heavily on me every single day. Dr. Hyman didn’t just fix my nose — he restored my natural beauty and gave me back the ability to feel proud, comfortable, and at peace in my own skin. I no longer think about my nose. I simply feel like myself again — confident, happy, and free. His artistic eye, surgical skill, and genuine care are unmatched. I am forever grateful to Dr. Hyman and his incredible staff for walking with me through this journey with so much warmth and attention. If you are searching for a true artist and expert to trust, Dr. Hyman is the one.
I had an incredible experience with Dr. Hyman, I highly recommend him! I had a rhinoplasty with Dr. Hyman almost two weeks ago and had my cast removed last week. I am already in love with my nose - it’s exactly what I wanted today and will only get better with time as the swelling goes down. I really valued other people’s reviews when I was deciding, so I’m going to be very detailed in mine to hopefully help someone make their decision! But, bottom line - Dr. Hyman & his entire team were wonderful and you will be so happy with your decision to see him! I first found Dr. Hyman on TikTok, I knew I wanted surgery but I wanted to hear someone’s verbal testimony to help decide. The patient had a great experience so I proceeded to do more research and contact the office. Lushes in the front office was SO helpful and informative - she answered all of my questions and I immediately scheduled a consultation. At the consultation, Dr. Hyman created a digital morph of what my result would be based on what I didn’t like about my nose and I was obsessed. What I really appreciated about him was that understood exactly what I wanted and was thoughtful and considerate (didn’t try to sell me on something) which made me trust him even more. I booked my surgery with Tina before I left the office. Tina is lovely, so kind and helpful (and has been so invested in my surgery and recovery throughout the whole process, which I really appreciate!). The whole team was wonderful leading up to my surgery and made sure I was well-informed and prepared to head into the procedure. I had my official pre-op appointment with Dr. Hyman the day before surgery, discussed exactly what result I wanted and left feeling ready to head into the procedure the next morning. The team who helped with the actual surgery - the nurse, surgical tech, and anesthesiologist - was so comforting and lovely. I felt really comfortable, took a nap and woke up with a new (casted) nose! Recovery was honestly quite easy. I felt no pain whatsoever, there was some discomfort from not being able to breathe through my nose but it was very manageable. My cast removal was quick and easy as well and I LOVE the result. So far the feedback I’ve gotten is: “it’s the most natural nose job I have ever seen,” “you still look like you, but better,” and “WHO was your doctor.” I knew I made a good decision but this really solidified it! It’s been so surreal and I am beyond happy - again, I can’t recommend Dr. Hyman enough! If you are on the fence or even considering - you MUST go!
I’m a super sensitive person when it comes to aesthetics and I always have been fan of natural looks. However, I reached an age where I felt pretty insecure about my -especially- side nose look (a bit of a droopy tip and a small bump). Hence, determined to pursue a rhinoplasty procedure. I came across Dr. Hyman’s works and bingo! I virtually admired his rhinoplasty results due to majority of them looking natural vs. fantasy. I am pleased to have chosen him because he listened and understood my concerns very well that I did not want major changes (exaggerated upturned or curved bridge) and that was just my personal preferences. It's been 2 months and a half since my operation and even though my nose size and shape go through subtle phases (until the swelling completely stabilizes) the base looks just perfect and exactly as I had wished for. It looks so beautifully natural, still very well suits my face, and the flaws are now gone. Dr. Hyman is hands down a very skilled surgeon. The entire procedure was flawless and smooth. I am happier as days go by that I did not hesitate my decision. Thank you, Dr. Hyman. You are amazing!!!
I have had a long rhinoplasty journey in my adult life and I finally got the results I wanted from dr Hyman! I had 2 prior rhinoplasties, so I knew it wasn’t an easy job, but the result was better than I expected. It’s been 3 years since Dr. Hyman did my revision, and my nose is perfect. I had been self conscious my whole life, and neither of my prior rhinoplasties took that insecurity away. Somehow it only made it worse. The result was such a positive change I have had numerous women and men asking who I went to! I recommend Dr. Hyman 100%!
Ari changed my life! I had such a big nose from birth with a large hump and was always made fun of for it. I did so much research before choosing to travel out of state to get surgery done by Ari. I absolutely love my nose and feel like a whole new person. Ari is a true artist and his aftercare was amazing. I could always get ahold of him within minutes if I had a question or concern. I’m so happy I chose him over the surgeon I was originally booked with. These after photos are at 3.5 months post op. My nose continues to get more and more defined each month.
I highly recommend Dr. Ari Hyman to anyone considering primary or revision rhinoplasty surgery. I am extremely happy with my revision rhinoplasty surgery performed by Dr. Hyman in August 2023. From the initial consultation to the final result, Dr. Hyman's expertise and professionalism were outstanding. He listened attentively to my concerns and delivered exactly what I wanted. The results exceeded my expectations, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome.
I chose Dr. Hyman from my rhinoplasty surgery. I absolutely love my results! I already had another consultation with him regarding a neck lift and facelift as well so I’ll keep everyone posted about that. I can’t wait! Dr. Hyman and his staff are amazing and I recommend him to all of my friends considering plastic surgery.
I flew from Dallas to La for rhinoplasty with Dr Hyman and I must tell you, this guy is too good at what he does. After seeing his work online, I cancelled consultation with other doctors, I knew he was definitely the doctor for me. The office is modern and super clean. Everyone was so nice especially Shanna and Tina. These ladies are such great assets to his company. They are empathetic and genuinely care for patients. People like these are not alway easy to come by. Dr Hyman is very caring, has a great sense of humor and is amazing surgeon. I’m so so glad I did not go with any other doctors. I had an ethnic rhinoplasty(I’m of African decent) and I’m currently 2 weeks post op but literally becoming so obsessed with my new nose(although it’s still swollen). It looks so good. Worth every dime!! Guys don’t even look else where. I guarantee you will have a great experience with him.
From pre-operation to post-operation, my experience has been phenomenal with Dr. Hyman and his team. I went on multiple consultations with other doctors previous to meeting with Dr. Hyman and from his attention to detail, without my explanation, he effortlessly described what my surgery would entail and how it would look. From his expertise I went into the surgery without any fear… and that was huge for me! Thank you to Dr. Hyman for giving me my dream nose.
My experience with Dr. Hyman and his staff was absolutely amazing. While I debated getting a rhinoplasty for a long time, I knew I had to get a septum surgery as my septum was so deviated that it was impeding on my daily life. Dr. Hyman assured me that he could do a septo-rhinoplasty which means both aesthetically changing my nose and also to improve my breathing. A day before the surgery, we schedule the pre-op to talk about my goals aesthetically and he after hearing what I wanted, he showed an image of what it would look like. I loved it. I am now 2 months post-op and my nose looks AMAZING! And so, so natural. The staff was very nice, welcoming and thoughtful and I look forward to seeing them again at the 1 year post-op.
Great question. Achieving the look of a smaller nose is definitely possible. Often those nose is made "bigger" which creates the narrowing and definition and creates the illusion or a perceived smaller nose. Asian noses are typically deficient in cartilage and their tip cartilages don't contribute much to the shape of their nose - It much more contour by skin before surgery. Surgery in this type of nose really requires projection into the thick skin to create shape and definition. Building up of the bridge which makes your bridge taller which create shadowing and make the nose narrower on frontal view. While many people do use implants here - my preference is your own cartilage - often from a small incision in the chest (1-1.5cm). This is used to give definition, projection and shape. Lasty - Skin debulking is often not a necessity. Many people do it, it can be safe, but Its not always needed. Additionally nostril narrowing or alar base surgery should also be very carefully considered and only done in cases of extreme base with. Most Asian patients want a natural appearance and alar base surgery certainly can fit into that, but it must be done with great care.
Great question. Knowing you have thick skin will help you understand what you need to know going into this process. It looks like you may have some Asian ancestry.
