Life changing is an understatement

Dr Coirins office is fast and kind and I have no complaints. I went in looking(deadest) for a sleeve. I was 26 and 400lbs with back and hip pain, sleep apnea so bad I stopped breathing every night. I learned about this surgery and I’m glad I picked it, even if I do have the side effects I was warned about. I’d like to preface this review with a disclaimer. Being fat doesn’t make you a different person than if you’re skinny. Who you are, your morals and qualities are the same and losing weight WILL NOT FIX everything and make your life perfect. Probably very little of your sadness is truly caused by weight and most likely negative toxic mentality and view points causing you to feel inferior due to your size. What does change. Obviously your size. I went from a size 28 to a 12/14 . My once taunt plump bits are now soft saggy bits. If your doing this for vanity this may be an issue for you and you may need plastic surgery and that expensive and risky. You can’t mess with carbs regularly without stinky consequences. The gas, bloating and the diarrhea will make some foods off limits for months to years or forever. (Bageeeeels :’( ) This is a serious surgery for people serious about weight loss. While some of my chronic pain was relieved the main benefit of losing weight is how others treat me like a human being now, which is really sad when you think about it because I’m still the same kind human I’ve always been.
