I have dreamt of having a flat stomach and normal arms for years.. probably my whole adult life.. I don't think I've ever had a belly button that looked like it wasn't sad. Haha! Dr. Anna made my dreams come true! I'll forever be grateful for her! She spoke to me like a mother would her daughter and explained everything she would be doing so that I understood the process. I will always highly recommend her to my friends, and I'm grateful for my decision to go through this journey with Dr. Anna as my surgeon!
I did a couple consults and decided to go with Dr. Anna (as she is commonly known.) I've had many friends and clients who have used her and she is always highly recommended. She has top notch beside manner but also an extremely "artistic" eye. She will give you what you want but guide you to the proper decision based on her experience. Most people want full breasts but don't want to look like a stripper on the Jerry Springer show. My surgery results were near perfect and my family member even had the same done after me. Her results were near perfect as well. If you're considering breast implants at least do a consult with her. You will be impressed. She gives you honest advice and gives you her cell # to text or call if you have any concerns when making your decision. We had a couple of questions that would have kept us up hours googling and worrying but we texted her instead. Both times she replied within a few minutes. Highly recommended!
I had been wanting to habe a mini face lift for some time and then I had a feeling recommend Dr. Anna. My experience with Dr. Anna was so pleasant and the healing process was so easy. She has a wonderful bed side manner and is so personable as well. The procedure went well and not much pain. There was just tightness and I went back to work at 5 days. I had some bruising but not much. No one could really tell what I had done.
I have never had perky breasts. Even as a teenager my breasts have always hung down! I have lost weight, work out 5-6 times a week and am finally comfortable with my body and how it looks! Yay! I also did not want large breasts so I knew that a lift would be perfect for me! My doctor, Dr Anna did an amazing job!! I am now 11 days post op and LOVE my new look!! Updated on 22 May 2014: My procedure was pretty uneventful. The most pain I was in was prior to surgery with a headache from not being able to have my coffee or anything to eat! ha! My surgery was textbook, meaning there were no complications and very little pain. I went in at 11 and was finished by 1:30 and home by 3. My husband stayed with me and we watched movies in bed until my mom brought the kids home around 6. I did not take anything other than 800 mg Ibuprophen after surgery. I did have a little bleeding, so my doctor put drains in which she took out early the next morning, (and then I went to breakfast with my parents). I slept on my back with my arms propped up on either side by pillows for the first 2 or 3 days. On the 4th day, I had my daughters' first communion at our house and it went smoothly! I will say that I had done everything prior to the surgery so that I wouldn't be worried on their special day! Luckily I had a smooth transition. I have had a little soreness on the sides of my breasts and my nipples are sensitive to cold and ache a little, but not enough to warrant medication at all. It comes and goes! On day 5 I went to the gym and walked on the treadmill at a full tilt for 20 minutes. I did the same on day 7. On day 8 I did a spin class with bands, but omitted the bands and just cycled easy. On day 9 I went out of town for the weekend with my kids and parents - noticed that the seatbelt really bugged the sides of my breasts, so I would switch sides every couple of (8 hour trip). On day 13 I went back to the doctor (third visit) and she took off the tape except for the tape covering my anchor scar at my request. I went out of town again on a girls week in Duck, NC and received so many compliments on my new breasts!! I LOVE THEM!! On day 19 I went back to the gym and have been every day this week at 80%. I lifted kettlebells on the 20th but it was very light - 10 lbs and limited movement, not aggressive. However I have done spin 3x this week aggressively - I just wear two bras (same as before), so as not to bounce around. Was it worth it? Absolutely. And I definitely went back and forth with my decision. Was this necessary? Was I being vane? Should I be spending the money? And at the last minute on the table I asked if anyone had every walked out? And they said yes, that its not too late. I said, you know, I have a really bad headache. The nurse said, not any more and I woke up 2.5 hours later looking fabulous!! :)
My BA is scheduled for 4 weeks from today. I am 42, 5'3, approximately 120 lbs. I will be getting saline, under muscle, anywhere from 300-350 cc's. I have always been a 34 "almost" B. I always wanted larger breasts, but never thought about it much due to what I thought would be high cost and high pain! However, a friend had hers done a few weeks ago and said it was so much simpler than I had previously thought. I made an appt with her PS and really liked her. After a couple of days of thinking about it and discussing it with my husband, I decided to go for it! I am a major "planner" and always want to be very prepared for every situation. I have become obsessed with the great info on this site and am so ready for May 15th! thanks for all the great info from everyone here! Updated on 1 May 2012: So I have my pre-op appt tomorrow morning. I am taking a couple of shirts to try on to decide on size. I am taking my mom with me because she is skeptical of my choice and I want her to see that my PS is a professional, knowledgeable woman! I have been cruising this site several times for suggestions, so thanks to everyone for your honest, detailed accounts! Any suggestions for questions/concerns I should bring up in the pre-op tomorrow? Updated on 14 May 2012: So tomorrow at this time I will have boobies :-)--nervous today, hard to concentrate at work. Going to make last minute preps tonight--fixing up recliner with a sheet and pillows, popping the ice pack in the freezer, pre-making some dinners, etc. I feel like I have over-prepared but ultimately will forget something! Really worried about vomiting, have the patch to put on tonight and some anti--nausea meds. Going to try drink lots of water today! Thanks again to all for yout honest reviews and great advice! Updated on 16 May 2012: All went well yesterday.Great professional care at the Surgery Center. No vomiting or nausea, had the patch and an oral anti-nausea pill as well. Did go with saline 350 cc's, under muscle, aereola incisions. Showered this AM before my post-op appt. She had me start moving my arms a bit, which I must say hurts considerably! I am trying though, because every time I get up, the pain in kinda rough! I am down to 1 percocet along with a reg strength Tylenol every 4 hours. Thanks to all out there for your reviews, I couldn't have done this without you! Updated on 24 May 2012: **Day 9** Each day gets a little better! Worked a full da yesterday and took a long walk! Had some back pain last night, think it is from always sleeping on my back--Had my 1 week follow up yesterday, PS said everything looks good! Swelling decreasing daily and they look less like torpedoes :-) Updated on 30 May 2012: *2 weeks post-op* Each day gets better and better! Still sleeping on my back, but someone's review had suggested a pillow under the knees...very helpful! No real pain anymore, just very sensitive nipples and I can almost feel my skin stretching! Can't wait to get out of these sports bras, but my PS says six weeks, so that is what I will do! Still have a pretty nasty bruise under my right breast, bought some arnica montana cream today from GNC...hopefully will help with the bruise and remaining swelling. Still so glad I did this! I can't imagine women who go through this procedure without Realself, it is a god-send! Updated on 6 Jun 2012: *3 weeks post-op* Healing pretty well...went to the gym today for a short workout--treadmill/bike/some leg weights. Also go fitted at VS today, looks like I am a 34D! Got the ok from my PS to wear the genie bra....so sick of the racerback/high back sports bras! LOL Morningboob pretty much gone...still not totally comfortable sleeping, as I am doing sort of back and side. Massaging a few times a day. My only concern is my right brest has some slight rippling on the underside...will get my PS to look at it next week. Still riding a little high, but they seem to be dropping evenly and getting softer every day! Updated on 10 Jul 2012: It has been 2 months since my BA, and I am so happy! I am pretty much 100% and sometimes forget that I recently had the surgery! My only reminder is some lingering faint bruising under my right breast. I do agree with several others that I wish I had gone a tad bigger! I am still massaging twice a day, and wearing a sports bra at night. Since I have to remain in a wireless bra for a few more weeks, I wear the Genie bra mostly during the day and love them! For the price, you can't beat them. I did not want to pay $40 or more for a wireless bra that I probably will not want to wear when I don't have to. All in all, I am SO glad I did this.....it was well worth it! I must say AGAIN what a blessing this site has been.....could not have gone through this process without it!
