I hav been researching Lipo for about 3 months now as a last resort after working out for 8 months and dieting without any new results. After my second child, i am at about 163 and a size 13... I was 125 and a size 5 with a bubble butt before. My love handles have taken over and my butt isn’t defined anymore. I scheduled today for tumescent Lipo with Dr. Andres Bonelli in Safety Harbor and put down a decent deposit. I cannot stop smiling today. Browsing before and after today literally has me so excited. Even a 50% improvement will have me over the moon. Friday April 5th I am having my first of 2 procedures. We are doing upper (flanks, bra fat) and lower back (waist, love handles). After some healing time I will book for abdomen & neck/chin (and possibly arms depending on finances) with fat transfer to my breasts. Dr. Bonelli spent almost 2 hours with me going over all my questions, before and after pics and all options. I am confident in my decision and beyond excited for this longggg overdue change. He was very helpful, detailed and kind. I look forward to spending a few hours with him during the procedure since I’ll be awake. I will be updating on the day of, as well as documenting my healing process in detail. Updated on 5 Apr 2019: Dr. Bonelli is so nice and polite. He performed tumescent liposuction on my flanks/love handles/ bra fat... entire back basically. The procedure feels a little weird because you can kind of feel the movement and pressure but no pain at all. We stopped and took a photo after my left side was done. I will post a BEFORE and the DURING today, as well as when I change my pads and shower tomorrow. Obviously final results will come in a month or so. Overall a great experience, I plan to go back for my abdomen and arms with fat transfer to my breasts. And possibly my double chin lol. Updated on 11 Apr 2019: Day 1 wasn’t that bad post-op but day 2 was extremely painful. I do not like the narcotic pain killers so it was my own stubbornness that made it much worse than it should’ve been. That night I had to give in and take the pain med. day 4 and 5 I felt better. Sometime I get a little anxiety about having to be in compression all the time, but my shape looks great. Some bruising around the hip incisions and most of the swelling is where the love handles and lower back fat were. I use a ton of arnica and have eaten a whole pineapple over the course of these 6 days. Arnica heals my bruises very very quickly. He more I apply, the faster it works so I can’t wait to start using that. My small incisions have healed to the point that I didn’t need pads on all 6 of them today. Hope this all helps! Happy I can take ibuprofen and alternating that with Tylenol seems to help. I only take the Percocet at night now. 1/2. Updated on 23 Jul 2019: I would say I’m 90% healed. I’m almost at the 4 month mark. I have some numbness a couple times a week where my love handles once were and a tiny bit of swelling. I am very happy with my results and trying to lose my tummy, but may be going back for that as well! Worth the pain and the suspense of 3-4 months. Some skin is still stretched but overall very happy. Updated on 24 Mar 2020: I still have some skin that needs tightening but overall very satisfied. My incisions didn’t really scar and 5/6 have mostly disappeared. I get the occasional numb feeling in my flanks area after a long day or lots of activity. I have also dropped 15 more pounds by changing my diet and I feel like the decision to have this lipo started me on the right path. Love my tiny waist!
Dr. Bonelli and Lynn are THE BEST. I did a TON of research and settled on Dr. Bonelli for my 360 lipo. I am terrified of needles but was surprisingly comfortable while being 'operated' on. The local anesthesia scared me a little bit at first but I did just fine :) If you want to know what you'll be getting yourself into I suggest checking out 'realdrsix' on snapchat. He is a plastic surgeon in Canada who snapchats ALL of his surgeries!
I had a great experience with Dr. Bonelli. Tumescent lipo went as planned. He did a great job contouring and sculpting. It's only been 2 weeks but I can see the results already. I am still very swollen and sore. I will have to post my before and after pics later. Although I had a great experience with my doctor, let me tell you.....the procedure was nothing like I expected...lol...nothing like it. I went in thinking that it would be a "melt the fat" "suck out liquified fat" "all done!!"Not!
I have a very small torso and have always envied those tall models who have such a long waist and back which accentuates the hourglass figure on a thin frame. I've always been shaped like the letter H. Boxy and in my opinion not feminine. I'm very petite. 5'2 and 115 lbs. I have next to no fat on my body besides the stubborn love handle area. With tumescent lipo, I was able to contour the love handle and flank areas. I am only 1 day post op. Took off the compression garment to shower this AM and almost cried with joy! I have the cutest little HOURGLASS figure. I never knew my body was capable of this. Of course the swelling will set in and it will take many weeks to see the true final result but I got a sneak peak of it today and I'm ecstatic. Cannot wait to buy new sheath and bodycon dresses. I'm gonna be sooo fierce! lol Best few thousand dollars ever spent. Oh and did I mention that the tumescent method is a breeze? I was awake for he whole procedure with 0 pain during surgery! :-)
I had a bbl done and decided I wanted to go back and have my armpit that taken care of also I hated wearing tank tops the procedure went smooth relaxed for about a day and a half and then it just felt like I worked out really hard he takes his time with you and answers every question and concern that you have you are awake during the whole process which is a lot safer
I was beginning to look in the mirror and feel hopeless because no matter how much I worked out I still had " saddlebags" on the outer thigh and annoying flank area that was causing my rear to look like a huge box. I was uneducated about the remedy to achieve my goals, I needed help weighing out my options! First and foremost this journey can be very confusing, and I almost did the highly hyped "Miami" BBL! Reasons I backed out was their request for me to gain tons of weight for this procedure when I am already am 150 pounds with a huge backside as is. I thought to myself that it CANT be too healthy to gain an insane amount of weight just to have a bigger butt. My personal focus is changing my life and eating cleaner, so this also was a reason I didn't want to back track. I had another big challenge which was a very limited amount of downtime and I wanted the healthiest choice for my body as well, (seems like a lot to ask right?) I am a proud single mom of beautiful 4 year old twins and a very important role at my fast paced job that wont permit several weeks off! After reading many reviews and stories of experiences and downtime I discovered that "Tumescent Liposuction" had a considerably less amount of downtime with the same results! This led me to the amazing Dr. Bonelli out of Safety Harbor Florida, where I had a wonderful experience worth recommending! Dr. Bonelli had taken time to answer every single question I had leading up to my decision to wave the BBL Idea and stick to liposuction. He educated me on Tumescent liposuction & fat transfers along with giving me different options and ways to achieve my goal. He was so personable and really had confident that I was in safe hands, not to mention his resume is MOST impressive! I was awake the whole procedure with a smile on my face in a peaceful mind frame, and I did not feel any pain at all. I highly recommend him! he does amazing BBL work as well! Please don't mind the tape I had on my back in my before picture, it was for my back from my chiropractor. The after picture was literally 1 day later and I couldn't be more happy. I am now 3 days post surgery and the swelling isn't bad at all, in fact the swelling is going down as the days pass. The staff and doctor were so nice and I really appreciate their patience and kindness with me in the deciding process/ after care. My body feels happy and is healing very nicely!
I hated going shopping for jeans because of having no booty i wanted this procedure forever and researched for years. I saw a few doctors in miami that had HUGE results but then i did homework and realized that it was unsafe how those doctors do it exp, general anesthesia, they take as much fat as possible in every part of your body at once thats not safe, then i saw a few deaths everywhere. I finally found dr bonelli he does it under local anesthesia and gives you realistic safe reaults. He took it from my belly love handles and bottom of my back. I am not a big person so i didnt have a huge amnt of fat to be transferred however i do like the result it looks natural i have a little bit of a booty now and it looks good in jeans now ;) downtime was not long at all, i saw where other doctors had 6 weeks of garments and that much downtime. I got my surgery on a fri and went to work tue, you need a full day to sleep the next day relax walk around then after that your just pretty sore but not horrible pain i took my pain med first day then tylenol for about a wk. I went back to get my upper back and fat pads in my armpits i just went so i dont have results for it yet. Oh and one more thing his price os more then half then most Updated on 30 Aug 2015: After Updated on 20 Sep 2015: Final results i believe. Ive stayed the same size. Updated on 20 Apr 2016: Stayed about the same It's not huge but it's just enough Updated on 30 Jan 2018: I am still happy with my results.
Though the procedure was smooth and the staff was kind and comforting, Dr. Bonelli was rude and inappropriate. During the procedure, instead of making polite small talk to comfort his nervous patient, Dr. Bonelli began to talk to me about how I was “overweight”. He began suggesting that I fast two days a week , only eat 1200 calories, and begin walking 10 miles a day. He then began comparing me to other “slimmer” patients. He even began telling me my anxiety and depression was a result of my weight and that if I exercised more, I wouldn’t need my anxiety/depression medication. This type of talk occurred for the entirely of my 2 hour procedure. If you are not aware, Dr. Bonelli is about 450 pounds. Though I have no issue with the weight of others, he was not giving me his professional health advice, just judging my body based on his personal opinions. These remarks were extremely unprofessional coming from a doctor who had no idea of my health (this was my second time meeting him), and who had presented no issue with my weight during my consultation and no problem taking my payment. Though I do not regret my procedure, I regret giving my money to someone as disrespectful to women as this man. As a person with a mental illness and a women recovering from an eating disorder, this experience was extremely triggering.
Thank you for your question. While most cite the risk of general anesthesia as less than 1/100,000, a landmark statistical review has placed this number at closer to 1/13,000. In any case, the risk of a tummy tuck is quite a bit higher, especially if liposuction or other procedures are performed at the same time. One recent study found the rate of major complications following tummy tuck was 4%, and that rate was about 10% when tummy tuck was combined with body contouring/liposuction. The risk of death following tummy tuck, though unfortunately not investigated extensively, has been found in the past to be around 1/1,000 to 1/2,500. If you find these risks to be unacceptably high, I would suggest trying a minimally invasive form of liposuction performed totally by local anesthesia. Together with appropriate diet and exercise, the results can be satisfactory, though this would depend on your expectations. I would certainly suggest an in-person consultation with an experienced cosmetic surgeon.
