There can be pain with a root canal if the area around the tooth, mainly the bone and ligament around the tooth hasn't healed completely. In this case, the root canal tooth may need to be "retreated."
Hi there...it just depends on how big the hole is and whether there is a cavity. Sometimes fillings fall out when a cavity develops underneath the filling. Your dentist will be able to tell once they can take an xray on the tooth. Hope this helps.
