Our latest treatments use the addition of amniotic membrane products to the PRP. This allows for additional growth factors to improve the hair regeneration and results.
PRP is one of the best treatments for hair growth. Results do vary from individual to individual. However, generally speaking, you can expect to see hair growth in 1-3 months. The results reach a maximum at around 4-6 months. At our practice we recommend 3 initial treatments spaced 1 month apart. This is followed by repeat treatments every 6-12 months depending on the individual.

Proper balance of your thyroid hormones are important to maintain a healthy head of hair. You're on the right track by trying to maintain optimal iron stores (Ferritin levels), and vitamin D levels. Both hypo and hyperthyroidism can result in hair loss. Please follow-up with your doctor to maintain optimal thyroid health. A balanced thyroid hormone that contains both T3 and T4 maybe a better option for you. Your levothyroxine is T4 only. The PRP will be very helpful in halting the hair loss and potentially regrowing new hair in the areas that are affected.
