I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in October, 2021 and that is when I met Dr. Habash. I consider Dr. Habash one on my Angels through my journey, he really made me feel that he cares and he had always my best interest, he has been fully transparent with me and has been very supportive and encouraging. His work is amazing and he goes above and beyond. I have been truly blessed to have him as my reconstruction doctor. Thank you Dr. Habash for everything that you have done for me.
The compassion, care, and skill that I have received from Dr. Habash and his staff over the past year has been nothing short of absolute perfection. He is an incredibly skilled physician who will listen to you, take his time with you, and make sure that you are comfortable and happy with your results. He holds himself to a very high standard and it shows! He is a perfectionist and oftentimes would point out little things that I didn’t really even notice myself. In addition he makes sure that you know that he understands the emotional implications that may come alongside your surgery. I had a prophylactic bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction and he made sure the entire time that I have been in his care that he showed me great compassion and dignity from start to finish. I’m tearing up just writing this! Thank you to Dr Habash and all of his staff for the incredible care that I have received from each one of you. I will forever be grateful!
Dr Habash has been an amazing surgeon/doctor. He is very passionate about his work, he is soft spoken, kind, gentle, trustworthy, and very professional. He's a great leader because his staff is just as amazing.
Dr. Habash is one of the kindest and most caring Drs. I have ever encountered. I was faced with a difficult, cancer reconstruction process. Dr. Habash and the staff made me feel at ease at all times. He went beyond the scope of practice. Dr. Habash was willing to listen to all my concerns. He was willing to meet after hours and on weekends to solve my concerns. I would recommend him 10/10 times.
Dr. Habash is wonderful. I was so impressed with him and his staff. Dr. Habash listened to all my concerns and answered all my questions. He made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I’m very pleased with the results. I’ve referred him to friends and would definitely use him again.
Doctor Habash is absolutely amazing! Not only is he a great surgeon, but he has an incredible bedside manner. He is truly passionate about his work. Him and his office staff are genuine and have compassion for everyone. Words can't explain how wonderful my experience has been.
I met Dr. Habash in October of 2021 when I started my breast cancer journey, he is a blessing in my life. Dr. Habash is an amazing surgeon, he is very knowledgeable, professional, but most of all he truly cares for his patients. Dr. Habash goes above and beyond and takes the time to get to know your story and definitely guides you towards your goal and helps you achieve it keeping in mind that his first priority is for his patient to be NED. I am truly thankful. (Lisa Mohrman)
After a failed expander experience, I was left with one expander and a disfigured breast with severe scaring. Mentally I was a wreck and literally could not look in the mirror! After a referral to Dr. Habash my tears went away as I found that I had hope. I could look forward to feeling normal again and that was a life saver after going through 4 previous surgeries. The chance to have breast reconstruction – Deip Flap Surgery) was never on my radar and after healing I have to share that Dr. Habash work is nothing shy of amazing. He performs breast reconstruction miracles with the kindest of heart along with the kindest office staff I’ve ever met. He is beyond talented in all he does and he has the best bedside manner. I am forever grateful and my outcome and aftercare has been incredible and I am so very thankful for what he has done to turn my frown into a smile. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Habash and his staff.
Such a kind doctor. I had a complication & Dr. Habash & his team responded right back & got me in right away. His care & concern seem very genuine & I always felt I could call whenever I needed & the staff would get back to me. I have had issues with other doctors not returning calls & questions & concerns go unanswered but that wasn't the case with Dr. Habash. He always seemed he had the time to discuss any concerns. I never had a long wait for an appointment either. His staff was also very kind & attentive.

The most critical aspect of this is insuring that you are fully treated for your breast cancer and lymphoma. Once you have completed your radiation therapy I would then focus on the reconstructive process. There are a few things to consider as you focus upon the reconstructive process: (1) there is a known increased risk of complication with implant based reconstruction and radiation therapy; i.e. capsular contracture, asymmetry, delayed wound healing and need for implant explantation; (2) the effects of radiation are progressive and on going after you have completed your radiation therapy; (3) there is a "window" for optimal treatment, too early and the skin is still irritated from the radiation therapy which can lead to wound healing issues, too late and the fibrotic effects of radiation becomes more problematic.Because of the above listed facts, breast reconstruction in optimally performed 6-9 months after the completion of radiation (the "window" actually falls between 3 and 12 months, reconstruction can be performed later than this but the fibrosis can become more of a limiting factor as time progresses) and I feel that your best long and short term results would be achieved by utilizing your own tissue (in my practice that is utilizing a DIEP flap). There is a lot to consider in your scenario and therefore I would meet with a local board certified plastic surgeon that performs both implant and autologous breast reconstruction to insure that you are fully evaluated, and make sure that all your concerns and questions are fully answered. Best of luck through this difficult process!
