I contemplated whether or not to write a review or post my experience for all of RS users to see but because I found posts by other “real-life” users and people helpful (and at times reassuring), I decided I would. I have alway had a lean athletic body/build but after turning 53, experiencing menopause AND the COVID pandemic, (all within the same year), I gained 20 lbs, went up 2 pant sizes and decided that was it, I was going to do something about it. Before menopause, I could up my workouts, fast a few times a month and/or cut calories and drop any unwanted weight. This past year sadly, none of that happened. It was late February when I started my search for surgical options. Initially I thought about a mini tummy tuck but after numerous consultations and lots of time researching, I elected to go for liposuction with conscious sedation. Roughly 24 hours ago, I was in the surgical center being prepped. The procedure itself was not at all bad. I would have to say the numbing period was the only real uncomfortable part. I recall telling my doctor that the vibration of the device near my rib cage, actually tickled. Thus far, I’ve had little pain (twinges here and there when bending or turning) but on a scale from 1 to 10, I would say the pain has been at most, a 4 (and even that, is not constant, just with certain movements). In truth, I probably could have gone to work today but it’s nice to have an excuse to chill in bed and binge on Netflix. Body areas: upper and lower abdominals, upper and lower flanks, upper (bra roll) and lower back.
