As my Graves Eyes specialist, when BTK inhibitors in my cancer meds caused me to begin losing sight in one eye, Dr. Kahana, with three orbital decompression surgeries, saved my sight! The impaired sight returned, double vision was eliminated with additional surgery, and my sight is now correctable with glasses! Additionally, Dr. Kahana did plastic surgery on my eyes to eliminate extra tissue in my eyelids as a result of the decompression surgeries, and used several disparate techniques on the rest of my face that resulted in reducing the look of my age by "20 or 30 years", to quote an MD who was startled to learn that I am 79 years old! Thank you so very much, Dr. Kahana. You and your staff took such excellent care of me. I felt safe in your care, could reach you promptly when I had concerns, and am more grateful than I can express for the sight you returned to me when one eye was becoming blind and the other was at risk. On top of that you've returned a look of youthfulness to me! I feel so fortunate to have had your help when my need was so great. I'm enormously grateful to you, your lovely P.A., Sara Turner, and the rest of your team.
Went to Dr. Kahana for the asymmetry in my eyes. My whole life I was told it was my eyelid that is the issue, when deep down I knew it was my bone structure. Dr. Kahana also claimed it to be my eyelid as well. I put my trust in him since he is a surgeon who specializes in eyes. I came out the surgery concerned with the results. When expressing my concerns with the results in my follow up appointment Dr. Kahana began to gaslight and manipulate me that the results were what he promised. He then proceeded to tell me I needed therapy. I do not need therapy for a valid concern with the asymmetry of my eyes. I then went to see another doctor and she had confirmed the issue was the bone structure. My eye is now completely healed and I honestly do not see a difference from before the surgery. Dr. Kahana just wants to run your money.
From the photo, it looks like you might have ptosis of the left upper eyelid, and possibly also globe dystopia (left eyeball slightly lower than right eyeball). There are options for you, and an in-person evaluation would be really important.
Hello. The lower eyelid fat pads can be repositioned or debulked (or both) to correct a complication from prior surgery. This needs to be weighed against the risk of complications. An in-person evaluation would be essential.
Hello. It appears that you have asymmetric orbits. Without a facial photo, it's hard for me to truly assess, but you may actually have a hypoplastic sinus on the right. Orbital decompression can be used to move the globe, but it can cause complications including strabismus. It's something that should be discussed thoroughly during an in-person evaluation.
Hello. Your lower eyelid fat pads herniate, which is made more obvious by having prominent eyes. A filler can only cause more problems. You might benefit from a combination of eyelid fat debulking and repositioning, +/- midface lift to smoothen the eyelid/cheek transition.
From your description and photo, it appears that you have mild lower eyelid retraction. There are many causes for that, including congenital. The lower eyelids can be elevated, but it will make your eyes "smaller" by definition. This is really something that needs to be discussed during an in-person evaluation. It's non-trivial.
