I had breast silicone breast implants for over 23 years. I had breast fed three kids but it was time they went. My implant boobs were saggy significantly but, tbh I was just glad I had boobs. I was barely an A cup when I got the implants. I knew the implants needed to be replaced but hated the idea of ongoing surgery - far transfer was the answer I was hoping for!
I finally decided to get a procedure done to my breasts and I am so happy! For over 10 years I wanted breast implants but was too scared of them looking too fake, my body rejecting a foreign object and getting capsular contracture. Then I heard about fat grafting and I started researching. I had 2 babies back to back (16mths apart)and breastfed both although I loved my body and am so grateful I really wanted to do something for myself. I had a consult with 3 surgeons and in the end chose Dr Kalus. I felt so comfortable at my consult and it just felt right. I am now 1 week post op and I am so happy with my results already. Updated on 28 Apr 2021: Swelling is nearly all gone so happy with my shape and the amount of fat that my body has retained Updated on 27 May 2021: I am 6 weeks post op and loving my new body. My nipples are itchy from healing and I have had a few dissolvable stitches that have been rejected by my body but other than that I’m recovering really well. :) Updated on 8 Aug 2021: Just got back from my first holiday with the new girls I felt so confident walking around the pool in my bathers with no padding ! Updated on 19 Nov 2021: 7 months post op and I am still loving my results. I’m still retaining the fat that was put in, they feel really soft and quite big to me. Really happy
I’m writing my review as I’m recovering at home same day of surgery. I’m feeling surprisingly good! Waiting for massive pain to kick in but so far only moderate discomfort. My boobs feel like the feeling you get when you wear an uncomfortable bra , and the donor sites from the lipo feel like a massive gym leg day and the feeling you get when you bump your thigh on a corner table. Sore but nothing extreme. I’ve been making a few trips the bathroom and kitchen. Been surprisingly hungry. I owe this to my Anesthesiologists Peter Roessler, I suffer from terrible nausea and vomiting especially after something as severe as surgery , but as he promised - he used the right cocktail of drugs and completely eliminated that. Although I feel good I will continue with the medication the experts have prescribed. Don’t want to push my luck. Dr Kalus is AMAZING I cannot recommend him enough!! Thanks to him and his Fantastic team I feel good 6hours after surgery, minimal and pain and flicking through Netflix. I am making a point of eating super healthy. Lots of fruits and vegetables to help with the healing. Will keep you posted!
After years of considering breast implants, I'm so pleased I waited and discovered breast fat transfer. I did a bit of research, looked up reviews and met with 3 potential surgeons. I choose Dr Kalus in Windsor because of his experience, positivity and calm approach. I was extremely nervous prior but my nerves by calmed when I met one of his staff that had had this procedure with great results and she was very reassuring. So going in a I was an A cup and I have been able to maintain a C cup following. I'd say the first week to 10 days post surgery was hard. It was uncomfortable but had pain killers to help, but I think I was just getting over having a general anesthetic. The staff were very kind and overall I am very happy with the entire experience. I will get around posting some photos soon.
I've had the best experience with Dr Kalus at Avenue Plastic Surgery. I'm 4 days post op and recovering well and so far, very happy with the results. I'll take you back to the beginning of my journey which started in August this year (2019) I originally wanted just fat transfer as I didn't like the idea of having implants and it wasn't really about the size for me, I never wanted big boobs as I have a small frame, I just wanted a better shape and cleavage. Original size was a 10a/b but I always wore padded bras. My aim was to have boobs the size of my boobs in a padded bra, but without the padding. So basically no-one would notice the difference in clothing. During my first consultation with Dr Kalus, he introduced me to the idea of hybrid procedure which involved fat transfer with an implant too. I didn't like the idea of this at the time as I was set on not having implants and I was concerned about the recovery time with implants. After doing some research, it appeared that the recovery would be similar either way. Also, because I don't have a lot of fat to donate I began to be concerned whether I would get the results I wanted. The lipo was just a necessary for me, it wasn't something I wanted to have but there is no other option for fat transfer at the moment other than to have it taken from yourself. My legs could definitely be a bit slimmer at my thighs but generally speaking I like my legs. I grew more and more concerned about the lipo side of the procedure and how much fat he might have to take to get a good boob result. Dr Kalus and his team were there to answer all of my questions throughout my decision making process. I came in to see him twice and had a third phone consultation to make my mind up, and I never felt rushed through any of it or pressured one way or another. He didn't mind spending the time to get to the right decision for me. Eventually we agreed that a small implant with fat transfer would be the best option for me. Dr Kalus told me to go away and trial different sizes with stockings and rice in a sports bra. Over the next few days I did just that and decided that 150cc would be the ideal size, especially as this was just the implant, there was going to be some fat in there too. Even just 25cc rice more felt too big for my frame. Day before surgery I went to have light treatment and spoke to the anaesthetist assistant on the phone to get my instructions. The private hospital is really amazing, i'm so pleased I chose to go there. The day of the surgery, Dr Kalus marked me up before theatre and let me see / decide where I was happy for him to take fat from. He marked up my inner and outer thighs for lipo and my breasts for where the implants and fat would go. He put dots where the incision points would be so that I could see. We discussed that perhaps 175cc may be needed depending on how much fat he could get, but I was happy for him to make that call during the surgery. The surgery went smoothly and I woke up to lovely nurses in recovery. Dr Kalus came to see me shortly after and told me that he managed to put 80cc of fat in each breast which was more than we had anticipated, so he decided to stick with 150cc which I was very happy with. I wasn't in a great deal of pain, discomfort I would say but nothing unbearable. I had drains in which are annoying more than anything, they make it hard to move around but they don't hurt. The nurses talked me through my medication, and once I was fully with it, sent me home. Every single person I came into contact with at the Windsor was amazing and I cannot thank each and every one of them enough. I felt incredible the first day (day of surgery). Yes I was in a bit of mild pain but it was totally manageable. I remember thinking, if this is it, then i'm going to be just fine. When I got home, one of the things that collect the blood from the drains fell out and the suction stopped working. I had a bit of an emotional break down at this point in my drugged up state as I got blood on my carpet and bed. I was being dramatic but like I said, I was still high on drugs. I didn't really get to see my new boobs as I was all bandaged up. I rested the whole day in bed, took heavy pain killers and some Valium to sleep at night. Day 1 - The first day post op I felt pretty good too. Still on the heavy pain killers but it kept the pain away. Had my drains taken our by the lovely nurse Meghan. It was such a relief to have them out as they were really annoying. I got to see my boobs for the first time and was over the moon with them! They look so natural. They feel a bit hard and it feels like I can feel where the implant it, they are swollen and will drop and soften in a few days. I had a relaxed day having lunch with a friend. Didn't feel the need to stay in bed as I felt fine, although I did have a dizzy / nauseous bout but took some meds, relaxed and felt better. I decide to have a much needed shower which was a bit uncomfortable. I'm adjusting to them being there and I get kinda worried that the implants are going to fall out the bottom, it feels like they are! So I spend as little time as possible out of the recovery bra the surgery gave me. The lipo areas are definitely uncomfortable. The bruising isn't as bad as I though it would be but my legs are tender and feel a bit odd when not in a compression garment. The garment itself is pretty annoying and uncomfortable, i'm not looking forward to 6 weeks of wearing it. Day 2 - Similar to the day before, generally felt fine so went on a little excursion and did a light walk. Car journey made me feel nauseous but again, meds cured that. Sitting up, opening doors, getting up is kinda hard, partially because you are scared to engage any of the pec muscles but the pain is totally manageable with the strong pain killers. My boobs look even better today. They have softened overnight, my friend gave them a feel the day before and today and tells me the same thing. Again, the lipo areas are probably more uncomfortable than the boobs, but moving around helps. When I first wake up the are a bit painful but once you have got moving it gets a bit better. Day 3 - This was a low day for me, mentally and physically. I had been told that day 3 is the worst and it really was. But for a few reasons that were my own doing. I probably overdid it the previous two days and should have just not moved from my bed. I felt exhausted, not in pain as such but definitely the most uncomfortable I had felt so far and I was questioning why I did this to my poor body. But I listened to my body and decided to rest up, I stayed in bed all day and my body thanked me for it. Boobs look better still and feel even better. I decide on having a shower again but with a bikini top this time to stop the feeling of the implants falling out the bottom. Seems to work. Day 4 - Feels like I am over the hump. Boobs look and feel great, I feel great, almost feel back to normal and ready to go back to work. Just going to give it one more day to make sure. The odd feeling I get when I take the bra off is starting to go away, it no longer feels like my implants are going to fall out as much. I change the tape over the incision points of my lipo and get to look at the incisions for the first time. They are really tiny, barely noticeable so i'm optimistic about how they will heal.
Initial consultation with Dr Alan Kalaus at Avenue Plastic Surgery 11/18. Full information, expectation and costing provided . Arranged suitable time for Surgery via email. Booked for Wednesday 13/3/2019. Highly professional procedure from initial consultation to Surgery to after care. Day Surgery went as planned and I was home in the afternoon with plenty of pain relief options, instructions and phone contact numbers. I live 1.5 hours away from the surgeon. Nothing went wrong and I attended the clinic every 2nd day for the first 2 weeks for light therapy and review by Megan. Megan provided only the best care. She was honest and realistic and I healed just as she said I would. I’ve just had my 4.5 month review with the surgeon and I’ve retained 100% of the fat transfered to my breasts and have significant definitions from my donor sites - thighs and stomach. My only comment is this is a procedure that takes time to see results. If you complete the program as suggested with the light therapy, massage, drinking the protein drink, wearing the garments etc you will achieve the result you want and it’s forever. I couldn’t be happier with the result. My breast are full and soft, the scars are minimal and my thighs and stomach are thinner. Fantastic clinic, surgeon and support staff. Couldn’t recommend more highly- J from Ballarat Victoria Australia Updated on 4 Aug 2019: Before, during and after photos from my procedure. The bruising was not painful and took about 2 weeks to go away . The surgical garments 23 hours a day was tough at times but it gets the result required. Updated on 4 Aug 2019: My legs are still shaping after the procedure and will for up to 12 months. My breasts are round, soft and very comfortable. They look fantastic. Very minimal scaring. Natural look and no health issue to worry about as it’s your own fat. Fabulous result ! Updated on 4 Aug 2019: From a small b breast and a mid b breast to full c breasts with symmetry, stomach scar from previous surgery 9 years ago is less noticeable and my thighs are thinner and less bulging on the outer thigh/flank Updated on 17 Aug 2019:
Mr Kalus is a very professional plastic surgeon. I had my surgery on the 5th of February 2019 and he saved my life by removing my old and ruptured silicon implants. They made me very sick and I felt I was slowly dying. I've seen couple of other plastic surgeons before him and all they suggested was just to replace them and that I was going to be fine. When I saw Mr Kalus and told what symptoms I had, he knew what i was talking about. I had silicone toxicity and I was poisoned. After my implants are gone, i feel much better. I can't wait to fully recover. He has done a breast lift too. They look perfect now. Thank you Mr Kalus, you have done great job and you are the best!!! Mirjana
Yes good experience. Drama free. Two people I knew had gone here already. It was 1 1/2 hour under approx. 300cc Saline. Under the muscle. It was what I expected more or less . My recovery was easy. Updated on 6 May 2019: This is my photos from before. You can’t see fully but gives you an idea. They are the same but bigger. I wasn’t looking for perfectionism. I was looking for doctors who were sensible and reasonable. It was a standard procedure and what I expected. I don’t have a lot to add. The people were kind to my neighbour who has a disability, who drove me to my after care appointments.
I had a great experience with Allan Kalus. He explained the procedure thoroughly and clearly and answered any questions I had. I’m so happy with the results and my recovery has been great with no problems.
I had the best experience with Dr Allan Kalus from the beginning right until the end. He made me feel so special and comfortable from the moment I went there. He knew exactly what was best for me and my face. I was anxious about having the surgery but on the day all the staff made it so easy for me. I wasn’t in much discomfort after the surgery and I was looked after in the best way. This whole experience has been so perfect and I cannot thank Dr Allan Kalus and all the staff for changing my life forever. I wish I could give more than five stars because he did such an incredible job!
Thank you for your question and photos. To me the main problem is your very wide cleavage. I would suggest that you use the same sized implants and use a fat transfer to provide a softer more natural cleavage.
Thank you for your question and photos. Have you considered a non-surgical rhinoplasty? This technique involves the injection of a specific type of Hyaluronic acid into the bridge of your nose and also into the nasal columella and the nasal tip. The result is often better than that obtained by the procedures you mentioned (ear cartilage, Gortex or rib grafts!). it is also a lot less expensive! It is important for you to have computerised imaging done first so that you can see exactly what can be achieved.
Thank you for your question and photographs. Yes your implants are definitely much too high and much too large for your frame. If your aim is for a naturally looking bust with implants then I suggest a moderate profile implant of about 275 cc placed behind the muscle and with your inframammary fold lowered.
Thank you for your question. Your photo shows that you have both excess skin and fat in your abdomen and your muscles have stretched causing you to lose your waist line. I would suggest that you do your best to lose some weight and then consider a tummy tuck which will be designed to remove all the skin below your belly button and tighten your abdominal muscles.
nk you for your question. Your photo shows that you have significant breast asymmetry with very large areolae and I understand how psychologically distressing this can be. Fat transfer is only a part solution to this problem as you have significant ptosis of the left breast and large areolae. Fat transfer could be used strategically on your right breast to increase the volume but even several sessions of fat transfer are unlikely to provide the symmetry that you desire. For the best result you should have a lift on the left side combined with fat transfer on the right. . With a comprehensive scar management program you would achieve much better breast symmetry (with minimal scarring). I hope this helps!
