I decided after 17 years that I no longer desired by breast implants and wished for them to be removed. They were at least 500 cc each (34C/D) and at 57 years old they just didn't fit my lifestyle any longer. I consulted with Dr. Shulman two years ago and decided that July 2021 was the time for their removal and I can say that I am over the moon happy with the result of the procedure. I am now about a perky 34A and I am very happy with that. Dr. Shulman did not try to sell me another implant and assured me that I'd have youthful perky breasts with a lift just using the tissue I have & that's what happened. She really did a wonderful job!!
Hi! Just want to tell you a little about myself. I am 54 years old & I have lost 60 pounds doing weight watchers & working out 5 days a week. I feel great but don't look as good as I feel due to my tummy - I just can't lose it. So after keeping the weight off for the past year, I decided to get a TT. I go this Wednesday for my marking with surgery on Thursday. I am so glad I found this site. It has really helped me to know what to expect. I will keep you all posted on my journey. I'll add pics soon. Updated on 13 Nov 2013: Well I had my appointment today & got marked. I am getting so excited! Only one more day & I will have joined you on the flat side. Hope I can sleep tonite! Updated on 15 Nov 2013: Well, I had tt, mr & lipo yesterday. Guess I'm on the flat side but haven't seen it yet. My thighs do look better. Can't wait to see the results. My doc is coming to the house this afternoon to check it out so hopefully I'll see something. Updated on 15 Nov 2013: I forgot to mention that the day prior to my tummy tuck I decided to have juverderm injected to my nasal folds & parentheses done at the same time of my surgery . Oh my god, it looks awesome! Definitely something I'll keep up on... Updated on 16 Nov 2013: So far so good. Not a whole lot of pain but I'm keeping up with the pain meds. I just can't believe how much I'm sleeping! My husband has been a real trooper. Wakes up every couple hours to make sure I'm doing ok and empties the drains. Think this afternoon I'll take off the binder & take some pics. Updated on 16 Nov 2013: Just a couple questions for all who have had this done. I get up every couple hours & walk around. Is that enough walking? Also, I seem to be sleeping a lot - is that normal? My hubby went out & got me a walker today. What a help. Love it! Updated on 18 Nov 2013: Stll haven't seen myself yet. I guess I'm sort of nervous to see the results. Definitely going to have my hubby help me tonite so I can see. What if I'm gross? Not too bad on pain. Switched to extra strength tylenol. Still haven't gone to bathroom yet but don't feel like I need to either. Go see the ps on Friday. Got to figure out how to upload pics. I am definitely not the most techie person! Updated on 18 Nov 2013: Just saw my results for the first time. I look great even with all the swelling & bruising Not too much pain, at least nothing Tylenol can't handle. Hubby washed my hair - what a great feeling! Updated on 19 Nov 2013: The pics posted are obviously pre surgery. I'll have to take some post so you can see if there's a diff. Finally went to the bathroom. Hooray! I'm feeling good but lazy. Walk around but then lie down on the couch Getting tired of the crap on tv. Glad my mom is here to provide comedy relief & to cook all sorts of good things. She is a little pushy with the fruits & veggies. Updated on 21 Nov 2013: Not having happy day. Just in a crappy mood. You can tell it's a full moon - my legs are so hairy I look like I'm turning into a werewolf! Tummy is swollen & a little uncomfy. Not moving too fast. Going for a post op appt tomorrow. Hopefully she'll take the drains out. If not that means I'll have to go to work on Monday with the stupid things in. Ok. I'm done complaining now. Thanks for letting me vent. I just keep telling my self PATIENCE. It will get better & the results are going to be worth it. Updated on 5 Dec 2013: Can't believe it has been 3 weeks already! I can't believe how great I feel & how wonderful I look! Clothes are fitting so much better & my husband says I have my confidence back. He is so right. Wish I had done this two years ago when I first starting thinking about it. Guess the time wasn't right until now. Go see my doc tomorrow for my third post op appointment. I hope she says I can start exercising, at least start back on the treadmill. Can't believe how much I miss it. I've lost 7 lbs since (or from) the surgery. I had to go buy some new jeans - I was going to wait until swelling went down but I couldn't wait.
At 19 I had my son. Dr did an emergency C section and went up and down. 10 days later I was rushed to the ER later to find out I had an absess from the surgery. Drs thought it was my appendix they went in to remove it and saw the infection. They did not stitch me up and I was left looking butchered. I've hated my body since that day. I now live in paradise and I am at the beach all the time feeling super insecure. That is when I decided it was time for me to do something for me. My kids are now 23 and almost 21. My daughter is in nursing school and is going to help me recover along with my amazing boyfriend. Without him I could not do this. My Dr is supposed to be the best here and an expert at the fat transfer. She said I do t need implants because of my athletic build. She feels the fat transfer will be more natural. I am happy with that I've never wanted implants. So here I am. Tomorrow is my preop and 2 weeks away from the surgery!!! Wish me luck!!! Thank you to all who have posted you have really helped me these last few months.
