Incredibly talented surgeon and wonderful supportive staff!

I'm in my 40s and was already experiencing some sagging to my lower face, extra fullness in my neck, and have always wanted to address my very hooded eyes. We decided my best results would be obtained via a deep plane facelift and an upper bleph. These procedures require a high level of skill and at 3 weeks post-op, I am looking and feeling great. I am also back to almost all my daily activities.

I researched, met with other surgeons, and chose him for more than his aesthetic result and bedside manner. I also much prefer the safety of his surgical approach using a hemostatic net vs other doctors that I met with that put in drains. I read studies about this and this not only produces a better outcome, but substantially reduces the risk of a hematoma (a major complication / risk of facelifts).

Dr Markelov has the best bedside manner of any doctor I've experienced. He was empathetic to my concerns, detailed in his explanations, and confident in his answers to all my questions.

Come surgery day, he and his staff were incredibly professional and supportive. Despite a lengthy surgery, I was able to do this under twilight anesthesia, never felt a thing, and woke up mentally sharp instead of groggy which really speaks to the talent of his partnered staff in the OR. Post-surgery, I emailed a question and Dr Markelov responded within 5 minutes despite it being a Sunday and not an emergency; he clearly stays on top of any patient concerns and at all steps you can tell that genuinely cares. The support before and after surgery has been been fantastic. Very importantly, I'm already delighted with my results despite some swelling that will continue to resolve over time. It is very scary to have someone work on your face and I'm deeply grateful for Dr Markelov's artistry.

I highly recommend Dr. Markelov. He did an excellent job on breast reconstruction after my mastectomy. He also enhanced the the non-affected breast so it would match in shape and size.
