My experience with Maria Barajas was simply excellent!!!! Maria takes her time and literally make me feel like a goddess!! I love coming to Gardner medspa because of her! I would recommend her to everyone I know..
I love my injector because he takes extra caution to make me look several years younger, but still look natural. Anytime I have injections by him I get more compliments than I have with anyone else, and those are from people who have zero idea I had injections! They just compliment me on my "glow" and say things like, "you must have just gotten back from vacation" or "you have perfect skin" or "you never age". Thanks to Dr. G. For it all!!!!This review was created as part of a nomination to the RealSelf I Love My Injector Campaign.
I'm so excited about the results of my coolsculpting treatments! I had the larger application on my lower stomach and I had my love handles done twice last year. I think I'm going to get my stomach done again. I see a difference but I want more. My esthitician told me that she thought I would need more than one treatment anyway. Not too overweight but I've been trying to lose weight and I have more fat around my midsection. Stubborn baby fat. But I can still see the procedure is working!! Staff is really knowledgeable. She told me what to expect and was really honest about what I should expect and whether or not I would happy with it. I would say make sure you do it sooner than later if you are getting ready for something special. The results can take awhile to show. But Oh boy does it work!
I had the procedure today. I was a little nervous after reading of the reviews; but all in all it wasn't bad at all. The upper and lower abs was uncomfortable for the first 8 minutes. After that I read and surfed the Internet for an hour. The inner thighs were a breeze. After about 2 minutes I was out like a light napping. It's been 7 hours since the procedure and thus far all is well: a little redness, but no pain. I will post before and after pictures in a month. I will provide weekly updates to journal the after affects.Updated on 16 Feb 2013:It's been 1 week since the procedure. I was a little sore ( like workout sore) on days 2 and 3. After that passed, I experienced a little swelling. So far no itching or shooting pains like others have experienced. Still waiting on visible results. Fingers are still crossed that this wasn't a waste of money.Updated on 23 Feb 2013:Week 2...Unlike other post, I have not experienced any itching or shooting pains thus far. Still waiting to see visible results. Fingers are still crossed.....
I have always had thinner lips, but my top lip was more bothersome to me than my bottom. Dr. Gardner was recommended to me by a friend who had the same procedure. It looked great and very natural. He was professional, meticulous and has a good bedside manner. Got the derm block and had no pain. The discomfort after was very minimal and swelling was substantially down the next day. I do have bruising in the middle of the lip, but that is expected. He said once it settles I may want to come back for a bit more, but right now I like how it looks. I would def recommend this procedure to people.
Had Radiesse last year and it took years off my face! I went for more this week at my dermatologist's office. His special was for JuvedermXC, not Radiesse. He assured I would love it. He used 3 syringes. Lifted my cheeks, filled all lines around mouth and smile lines. I look young once again! Happy.
I am ridiculously angry at the Gardner Medical Spa as of this morning. I forked out a load of cash for laser tattoo removal at their clinic that was extremely ineffective and left me with huge, bloody gaping wounds that I had to cover with bandages for 2 weeks after each session. The nurse was always worried about scarring too because it just looked so awful. I just paid half of what I did at the Gardner Medical Spa somewhere else and received WAY better care. Included in the much lower price was free numbing cream (Gardner wants 50$ for it even if you pay a lot for just the laser) and salve, and the doctor herself took care of me. Their machine is also an Alexandrite machine, yet of a different, much more effective sort. My tattoo, after one session at the new place, looks astoundingly different, lots of patches missing and it looked as if it shrunk by a whole 1/4, and I was told not to expect to bleed everywhere and no bandages are necessary. I am so disappointed in the Gardner Medical Spa. I feel like they gave me poor service for a high price and only wanted money. If you go to them, expect your tattoo to take literally forever to disappear.
It is possible to lighten pigmentation on the back with chemical peels but it does depend on the individual. To decide which treatment would be best you have to look at many factors. Some of these may include how long it has been there, if there is active acne still ongoing, skin color, sun exposure, genetics, etc. Once I determine the answers to these and a few other questions I can come up with a treatment plan for the best possible results. There are also several different chemical peels available now. Some are made specifically for acne and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, others for sun damage discoloration, melasma, etc. There are times when a chemical peel may not even be necessary and the patient can be treated with other treatments, prescriptions, or medical grade skin care at home. It is important to do your research and go to the right doctor for your needs. My practice offers free consultations with our aestheticians to discuss all options available.
There are many patients in our office that get multiple procedures on the same day. The key to this is making sure they are done in the right order, so that you get the maximum benefit you are trying to achieve. Facials may include massage, lymphatic drainage, or other muscle movement, and are done lying down. For these reasons I do not recommend getting a facial immediately after having Botox. If you do the facial first, you can do Botox the same day. Any skin care product or treatment left on from the facial will be removed from areas to be injected.
There are many places that I feel have given laser hair removal a bad name. Laser hair removal works if you go to a reputable place that purchases and knows how to use the correct lasers on each individual. Not all lasers are created equal. There are so many lasers available on the market to doctors right now, ranging in price from $10,000 all the way up to $200,000. There are also lasers that are "all-in-ones", meaning that this one laser performs skin rejuvenation, leg vein removal, and hair removal. Most of these lasers do not work as well as a laser that was made specifically to target one thing. I have many lasers in my practice. I have a laser that is made specifically for skin types I-IV to target dark hair, a laser made for skin types IV-VI, (dark skin), and many other lasers to target other skin concerns.
I get this question a lot, and as everyone else has said, there is no one answer to this question. It is different for every patient, depending on many factors. When patients ask this question, I ask them a few questions back to find the best treatment or course of action for that individual. 1. What are the biggest concerns you have about the appearance of your skin? 2. How quickly do you want to correct these? 3. Is there a budget factor? 4. Is down time a concern of yours? Once these questions are answered, that makes it a lot easier to go forward with options. There are multiple ways to achieve similar results. Of course, there is always the fastest, easiest way to get the results they want, and I do offer that option, but if that is not ideal for the patient, we work with them so that they will be happy in the long run.
Be careful to not price shop and sacrifice quality. There are many places that you can find fillers, Botox, and other injectables at a low price, but are these experienced doctors or injectors? I have seen patients who have come to me from other places and have had a bad experience. I love using Radiesse, and have amazing results. I have been in practice since 1985, and have a lot of experience with fillers. Sometimes you get what you pay for, so be sure choose the right place to go. In Atlanta you will find Radiesse priced at about $650 per syringe.
