Honestly best surgeon ever, my belly button is cute and natural looking , the scar is soo low it can’t be seen if I put underwear on, pain was handled accordingly the entire time making the healing process breeze so far . I’m still very swollen (11days post op) but he’s been amazing. Amazing results
Dr. A. J Khalil is an honest amazing plastic surgeon. Him and his staff have been very patient and detailed with me since the beginning and during my recovery. I am so happy with my results. His staff are very nice and so helpful too. Thanks for everything.
Normally I don’t do reviews but it just wouldn’t be right to not leave a review for Dr. Khalil and his wonderful staff. I have been thinking of getting implants for over 7 years now. I’ve gone on many many consultations and always felt like it wasn’t the right fit for me, so I would once again change my mind. In January 2023 I found Dr. Khalil office and I went through all his reviews and couldn’t find a single thing negative. I decided to book a consultation and when I arrived I was greeted so nicely. The wait wasn’t long and upon meeting Dr. khalil I spoke to him about all my concerns which were needing a lift and just wanting to be as natural as possible. He answered every question and made me feel so comfortable. I just knew he was the doctor for me. I gave my deposit and I kept dates opened until I figured out my work schedule. I finally decided on a date which is May 18th, 2023. I can’t lie I was very very nervous leading up to the days before and on day of surgery. I was quickly out at ease by my nurse and Dr. Khalil. All I know was I entered the OR room and I woke up with new boobs like a minute later. At least it felt like a minute. I got mentor silicone implants 400 on L and 425 on R with a breast lift. My left boobs is slightly bigger than the right. The recovery process was fairly good. I was in pain on scale from 8/10 for 2 days and then 6/10 for 4 days and on the 10th day 2/10 mostly muscle pain. Even though I had a lift I never once felt the incisional pain. Honestly just muscle pain. My incisions have been healing beautifully especially with the scar scream I received by drAfter that I felt much better. I was able to cook again and move my arms around. I am now post op day 27 and I feel Ike my natural self. My boobs are not as swollen as they were from post op day 1 to 15. I have no regrets I am a true believer in holding on until you find that right doctor and I found my right doctor by choosing Dr. Khalil. I look at my boobs every chance I get. Trust me go ahead and book with him, you will not regret it. He has great bedside manner and is very skilled in what he does.
I have had a RealSelf account since 2014, which means I've been researching this surgery for nearly 10 years. I went through many waves of consideration. Do I travel? Do I stay local? Do I split my surgeries and get the TT and BL separately? I even compiled an airtable of dozens of surgeons for consideration. I went w Dr. Khalil because of what the reviews said. Not just that they were great, but what people had to say about their experience. So let me tell you mine. From beginning to end it was a great experience. I had surgery scheduled, everything was humming along then I got COVID! Dodged it for years and got it at the worst possible time. No worries, the staff walked me through the process of creating a new timeline, going through surgical clearance (again) and making sure everything was safe. I flew down to So Cal and stayed at an AirBnB. Hired a local caretaker and was ready to go. Barely had any time to get nervous or anxious. From the time I arrived, everything was efficient. You speak to several staff to walk through the process and answer any questions. One of the ladies even showed me her scar and talked to me about her TT experience. You get to meet, and speak to, the anesthesiologist to go over any questions. You walk into the OR, lay on the table and next thing you know, you're in recovery. I couldn't even believe it. You literally wake up with a different body, it's amazing. So the recovery: The exparel made pain manageable. You get a few prescriptions to help with pain, nausea and such. Honestly the first day I couldn't believe how okay I felt. I could walk around (hunched over, of course), I had normal bowel movements, I don't think anything kicked in until day 3. Day 3, I was like "this really sucks". I'm about 3.5 weeks out. I have a nice, clean incision. I like the shape. I have a normal amount of swelling, no seromas (knock on wood). I no longer have a hernia (I practically cried when I was able to take off my hernia belt for the last time). I had drains in for 2 weeks, but the healing is coming long nicely. Most importantly, this surgery has changed my life! No more lying on my back, in the middle of the day, to get the pressure off my hernia. I had always felt buried under a body that did't reflect how I take care of myself. It is painful visiting health professionals and having them assume you don't eat right and don't exercise because of the way a diastasis, hernia and excess skin impacts your shape. I cannot tell you the number of surgeons who just presumed I had a lot of visceral fat (I don't), and overall I felt my body wasn't right for me. Getting plastic surgery is really emotional, scary and anxiety inducing and you want to feel that you're in good hands. Dr. Khalil is kind, listens and was never judgy, never recommended other procedures (nothing is more humbling - or disappointing - than having a surgeon circle parts of your body that never bothered you), and most importantly, he was not aggressive with recommendations. I believe that was key to having a smooth recovery, because it's really common for people to push a lot of compound procedures. I never thought I'd post my pics on the internet, but I think it's important to show because we don't always get to see results on brown skin, and there is a difference.
Dr. Khalil is a true gem! I love his attitude and how real he was vs. other BH plastic surgeons and I love, love, love my results. For one third of what other surgeons charge, he included lipo in my Tummy Tuck which makes a huge difference. I have many friends who paid over $15-20k for a TT with NO lipo and are now not happy with their results. Also, Dr. Khalil's recovery process was remarkable. I was up and standing straight after 2 days and my pain was completely manageable. I feel so lucky to have found him and my friends who have seen my results (and I am just one month post surgery) are amazed and a few have scheduled appointments with him. Do yourself a favor and don't fall for the "you get what you pay for" mentality. Surgeons charge what they can and most of them spend a lot on marketing and other expenses - he doesn't and says he knows he can charge more but doesn't need to. I was thinking of also doing my breasts but he said he won't touch them because I don't need to. I loved that he was honest and not greedy and an overall great person and doctor. His staff is also wonderful, including Megan who has been very helpful. I wish I had done this sooner!
I had a breast augmentation with Dr. Khalil about 3 weeks ago. I am so happy with my decision and most importantly, my results. I consulted with one another surgeon prior to my surgery and Dr. Khalil’s expertise, attitude and staff was completely unmatched. The whole process was incredibly smooth (consultation, pre-op, surgery, post-op,etc…)…The office staff is efficient, kind and very welcoming. I feel very confident in my “new” body. Thank you!
DR Khalil is the real deal. He gives realistic expectations, and his attention to detail is fantastic. The whole team is great and im super happy with my lipo 360 results. Not to mention he was half the price of other doctors I consulted with
I recently had an implant exchange, I went from 445cc's to 600cc's and omg I love them so much! I weigh 154lbs, Height 5"4 and my Bwd is 15cm, I started out a 34b. Dr. Khalil is such an amazing Doctor, he's very down to earth and I felt comfortable with him from day one. He answers all your questions and any concerns you may have. Had I listened to him the first time around I wouldn't have wanted an implant exchange but i was scared of going bigger. Tell him your goals and show him your ideal look and just trust his judgment. Best Doctor ever and his team is amazing! Updated on 30 Sep 2022: This was my first BA 11 moths ago, they looked really natural. I loved this look too but I wanted them bigger and noticeable. I had 400cc's on the right and 445cc's on the left. Dr. Khalil did an amazing job the first time as well, most people didn't know I had breast implants besides my friends and family
I knew Dr. Khalil was going to be my choice the second I met him. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable and experienced but he's caring and takes great care of his patients. I love my results, and feel amazing. I've recommended him to many friends and family members. He will assess you and your concerns and guide you through your options and will not try to sell you on a procedure with unrealistic results. He and his entire staff are down to earth and caring! Amalia was always super sweet and ready to answer any questions I had. Thank you Dr. Khalil & Team.
I have had a wonderful experience with Dr. Khalil. My recovery was a breeze and I just love how chill but yet in control he is. He isn't wishy washy and trying to upsell you procedures but instead will tell you to lose weight if he thinks that's a better option. I will certainly be going back to him for some additional lipo once I lose some more weight. Now if the swelling could just go away !!
Thank you for the question. I believe you maybe developing a early capsule which will need to be addressed sooner than later. I would recommend you follow up with your plastic surgeon in the near future. Good luck.
Thank you for your question. I would recommend the interlocking suture technique which works wonderfully because it controls the stretching of the NAC( nipple areola complex). It is done with a permanent suture. Good Luck.
Thank you for your question. It is normal to have pain, but the other symptoms need to be evaluated as soon as possible. Good Luck.
Hello. Thanks for the question and photos. I usually tell my patients to wait until the child is 9-12 months old. Make sure you seek the advice of a board certified plastic surgeon. Good Luck.
Hello..it is not uncommon to have sutures spit through the wound. The middle wound should be addressed by your surgeon. I would recommend you stop using the scar cream you the incisions that are open. Good Luck
