Unless you have some other eye illness or pathology like macular degeneration or glaucoma, your vision after cataract surgery should remain every good. Sometimes the lens implants develop some scar tissue membranes on them and need to get zapped away with a quick and painless laser procedure but this is quite common and most ophthalmologists are quite skilled at treating it.
When debating between cataract surgery and eyelid surgery as many of my patients do, I always recommend that the cataracts be done first. Sometimes after surgery the lid position may change. Also, if you're considering refractive cataract surgery to eliminate the need for glasses, you will want to see yourself without glasses before deciding how to proceed with the eyelids.
This is a very common question that I get from patients. Very often people don't realize that just like every patient is different from the next, each of your eyes are different from one another in many ways. One of those ways is how they heal after laser surgery, or any surgery for that matter. Commonly one is is "ahead of the other" even though surgery was done on both at the same time. I would recommend following your surgeons instructions and attending all your follow ups. Often, with some more time, both eyes even out.
