Granulomas unfortunately can rarely happen after Juvederm injections - only the Vycross products show this tendency such as Voluma, Vollure, and Volbella. I recommend Restylane or Revanesse Versa as an alternative. Best of luck to you.

For resistant melasma, we sometimes compound a higher strength of hydroquinone (up to 12% with Kojic acid) which is usually effective. Lasers should generally be avoided since this often makes it worse. A series of Jessner's peels in the Fall may be of some benefit of as well. Make sure you're using SPF50+ physical sunscreen and a hat every day.

Cutera is generally known to have the best Nd:YAG technology. Another option to consider is a diode laser like the Alma Soprano Ice which should be safe in most skin of color except Type VI skin. Good luck!
