As a plastic and maxillofacial surgeon, facelifts are one of the procedures I perform most frequently for my Pittsburgh-area patients. Our face is usually the first feature that succumbs to signs of aging. This can happen faster and more severely for certain people due to factors like stress, lifestyle, and sun exposure. A facelift can effectively turn back time and restore a naturally youthful look. During a facelift, I make an incision at the hairline that extends around the ear. I remove any excess fat and sagging skin, while gently lifting the remaining skin and underlying structure to create a contoured, wrinkle-free face and jawline. For younger patients, I offer a mini facelift. The ideal candidate for a mini lift is someone who is 35 or older with mild to moderate signs of aging. A mini facelift focuses on rejuvenating the lower facial features, and reducing fine lines and wrinkles, while creating more definition between the face and neck.

Thank you for your question. Breasts change over time and 15 years is a long time for an implant. From what you are describing the implant may be out of the original pocket that was made for it. I would recommend an in person consultation.

I feel there's something wrong with my breasts. What kind of operation do I need to fix them after waiting 6 months? (Photo)

Thank you for your question. You are very early in the healing process. There is a significant amount of swelling and the implants have not settled in to their pocket. You also have a decent sized implant under muscle, which can take longer to settle. I would give it time, right now everything looks like it is healing well. You need to wait at least 3 months before you make any major decisions.

Can tubular (tuberous) breast lift be performed without inframammary incision, ie. periareolar incision only? (Photo)

Thank you for your question. Based on photos, I would recommend a full lift and not just around the nipple. An in person second opinion would be best to determine if an implant is needed or not. I cannot make the decision based on photos alone.

How soon is too soon after a BA to get pregnant?

Thank you for your question. My recommendation would be to wait until after having children to do the breast augmentation. I would especially take in to consideration if you plan on breast feeding. That can cause some laxity to the breast, so you do not want to get the implants then be left with loose skin over top of them.

When you get BBL do you lose body fat or do you lose weight?

Thank you for your question. Liposuction is the removal of fat, which in turn does change your body composition. If you are having the fat re-injected to another area, the composition may not be changed that much.

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, there is nothing to do to speed up Botox wearing off. It can take anywhere from 3-4 months to go back to normal.

The results are amazing and natural.

I underwent a neck lift 01/16/25. When I saw the before and after photos (less than 8 weeks later), I could not believe surgery could make such a huge and positive difference in how I felt about looking in the mirror. The results are amazing and natural. Friends and family agree. Dr. Johns and his office and nursing staff were great from the first consultation. I met with other surgeons who weren’t as thorough in explaining the procedures (plus some of their staff looked overfilled which gave me pause). He explained the SMAS procedure in detail and the years of experience he had performing that procedure. He is also personable and has a wonderful manner. His office and nursing staff were great! They were patient in answering my ongoing questions and addressing concerns. At surgery time, I felt truly cared for by Sam and Haley. I am so happy that I found this practice and highly recommend it. It’s called “Artisan” for a reason! I went in the office unsure of what to expect, I was self conscious, scared, and just unsure because i had sagging skin. I walked through the doors and immediately felt welcomed. I felt like I was appreciated, and that was before I even decided if I was going to have surgery. Everyone was so kind! They treated me like i was important! When the dr came in, he guided me through the best decision for my age and for what i envisioned. I ended up with a smaller scar than I expected and a much better body!! The recovery was better than anticipated! I followed their post op instructions to the t and i was so comfortable the entire time. Staff is great to work with and very helpful. Dr. John's is wonderful! He takes his time when meeting with his patients. I never felt like he was giving me a sales pitch. I also loved that I got to meet with him on my initial visit. When I was looking at other places, it was usually not an option until you committed to the surgery.

I had a mastectomy in 2021 and met with two plastic surgeons for reconstruction. I was basically told to accept what is. Dr Johns was very considerate of my needs.
