I completed 3 treatments of AviClear for adult acne and could not be happier with the results. I took Accutane when I was a teenager, but eventually started to have breakouts again. I achieved results on the same level with AviClear but with ZERO side effects. The treatment itself is a little painful since only ice can be used for numbing. However, I had no side effects afterward. I am now 5 months out from my last treatment, and my skin is continuing to improve. I still have occasional breakouts, but they are much less frequent and much quicker to heal, and I no longer get the deep, angry cystic acne that I used to constantly struggle with. The G Spa team was fantastic, and I highly recommend them. The jury is still out on how long the results will last, but so far so good. My only complaint is that the price is quite high and is inaccessible for some people. But for me, the results have definitely justified the price.I received compensation from Cutera in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
Light oxygen facial by Shannon was great. Just a slight tingling and quick recovery. Slightly speckled for a couple of hours afterwards. What I love about The G Spa is that you always get a little extra something with your treatment- a little serum, a few extra pulses, etc. Great spa and great attention!
The team at The G Spa is truly amazing! I received my Xeomin treatment here and both Cindy and Shannyn walked me through each step, making me feel comfortable. The results speak for themselves and I can’t wait to see them again!
I have gone to The G Spa for several treatments and really do enjoy that space and the staff. Everyone is professional, and ‘answers your questions, and provides wonderful pre-and post procedure recommendations.
The G Spa is now my go-to for treatments. If you’re looking for a place that treats you with a caring hand Dr Grenier and staff will take good care of you. From the moment you walk into the office, they are kind and courteous. The G spa offers a range of services that cater to your needs whether you are seeking a hydro facial or body contouring, you will leave pleased with your results. I highly recommend you schedule an appointment as you will be in capable hands.
Dr. G is simply a magician and I enjoy all of the time I get to spend with her, the team and in such a beautiful space overlooking San Francisco and Union Square…I had TruScult ID and Emsculpt Neo and the results are fantastic. To come to the G Spa, feel pampered, cared for but most importantly “heard” when it comes not only my body, it’s shape, but also the emotional health and wellbeing that comes from the time and investment is priceless. I look forward to many years of not only being a patient in the practice, but also a client of G Spa…and thank you, Dr. G for everything you do…
Dr G is the most attentive and patient-centered doctor! She puts in extra time and effort to make sure you are comfortable. She is very knowledgeable and really listens to all your questions and needs and explains everything in detail.
Dr. Grenier is absolutely wonderful. She takes her time to explain everything. She let you know before she starts each step and let you know what you should expect. I’ve so many compliments after I had the facial. Definitely will return again.
AviClear does work very well on hormonal acne. While most acne has a hormonal component to it, not all acne treatments work well for all types of acne. However, AviClear has shown to improve acne of all types. It especially works well on hormonal acne, and also well on cystic acne and other types.
Hydrafacials are excellent at treating acne. If you can tolerate the 30% AHA MD peel then I would recommend it. However, the MD peel is only offered in doctors offices that carry the Hydrafacial. It also depends on what you are using for your daily routine at home and I would suggest that you discuss this with your Hydrafacial provider. Also, I would suggest using the Cutera's new AviClear laser for acne treatment. In three sessions, 1 month apart you will see an improvement in acne by 92%. It is cleared in Canada for the treatment of acne scaring as well. We have seen that AviClear will reduce pore size and improve skin texture with skin tightening too. Its an exciting new treatment the future of clear skin for acne sufferers.
Hydrafacials shouldn't ruin your skin or make it worse. I can't speak to what is happening with your skin directly because I don't know what strength of peel and what booster you might have used on your skin. Also if there was a red or blue light that was used during your treatment. However, Hydrafacials are excellent at treating acne. I would also suggest using the AviClear laser for acne treatment. In three sessions, 1 month apart you will see an improvement in acne by 92%. It is also cleared in Canada for the treatment of acne scaring as well. We have seen that AviClear will reduce pore size and improve skin texture with skin tightening too. Its an exciting new treatment the future of clear skin for acne sufferers.
Hydrafacials are great at treating whiteheads. If your whiteheads are due to acne, then using a higher strength peel like the 15% Peel or 30% MD Peel (only in MD offices) can help take off the layers of dead skin that can cause pores to clog. This is also very helpful for the "whiteheads" of milia, were there is no underlying infections, just clogged pores.
Yes, a Hydrafacial prior to getting PRP on the same day will give you excellent results. Getting a Hydrafacial first will remove dead skin layers and leave a clean surface before your PRP treatment. I would not recommend any boosters or the final steps of the Hydrafacial- hydrating antioxidants- because your skin will need to be cleaned and disinfected prior to PRP treatment. This would be a waste as it will need to be cleaned off prior to PRP. So really the first steps of the Hydrafacial is all you need.
