Dont have pictures. I look like Im 6 months pregnant all the time. Im 5 1 tall and weigh 214 ( overweight ). What suggestions can you offer to minimize this problem? My doctor doesnt recommend surgery due to my age and says its very painful and a long recovery. What do you think?
There must be an exercise program or something insurance will pay to repair m six pack. Please help, missing my Pilates, trying to adjust, but keeps getting bigger.
I have had DR for several years. It has become painful the last year when i cough, sitting up from a lying position, and lifting.I'm 68, healthy. and fairly active. The surgeon I saw said i shouldn't be concerned and that surgeon for this wasn't really effective.
I am having some discomfort/pain with diastasis recti and, at times, it seems to make me uncomfortable after eating. Also, what are the chances that the surgery will not require a second one in the future? I am 68 years old; 6'2 and 240 pounds. Thanks, Chris
I'm a 70-year-old man with diastasis recti. I'm interested in having it repaired but would need the surgery to be minimally invasive, as I'm anemic (due to myelodysplastic syndrome) and have had a splenectomy (last year, due to complications from the MDS, which has since been well controlled). I'm fit and thin and, as you can see in the photos, have no excess skin. Would laparoscopic repair be appropriate/advisable? Are their any doctors in the NYC area who have experience with this?
I have been on prednisone for 5 years which deposited fat in my abdomen thus pushing my belly out more and more. I now have a rectus diastasis that is painful to me. All of this developed after having a cough for 7 weeks. I am 71 years old and would like to have this repaired because of the pain. Is this possible?
