Had an orthodontic treatment, implant afterwards on upper jaw. doc. faced difficulty creating space moved incisors outwards.I now have protruding jaw; missmatched shape, color crowns.I have to strech my mouth too much for showing half of smile.I want to remove my implants. The procedure went on for 5 yrs and I am 22 now. Had them for 1.5+ yrs. I don't want my adjoining teeth to suffer if they are trivial plus I would have to go for ortho treatment again, if it's even possible. What should i do?
Hello, Based upon the enclosed scans, is it possible to identify if the upper two implants on the right (#11, #12) in the photos are protruding into the sinus floor? I'm four weeks out and not feeling any pain or other issues, some sinus-like condition for the last few days in one side of the nose where implants were done. Surgeon doesn't think it's implants but i will be returning in two wks for a follow up. Thanks in advance.
My second last lower molar was broken and was taken out a year ago. Now the upper molar has protruded downward 2mm. One dentist suggested implant. Another suggested bracing the last lower molar forward to cover the missing molar. I'm also concerned that missing a molar would cause loosen teeth in the long run due to less horizontal support from other teeth.
I have full upper arch mini dental implants. The whole arch protrudes, hangs down low over my bottom teeth and I have a ledge on top where my gums are and food sits up there, ugh! I was able see the implants (without the crowns) they are jagged, not properly aligned on one side and in the front. I'd like a do over of my implants. Help can anyone offer there advice. Thanks
I'm super worried. I was already missing a tooth prior, and then my ortho decided to extract the other 3. Also I have never removed wisdoms. I asked the opinion of my aunt a regular dentist, & my dentist who did the xtractions for their opinion, & they both agreed with it. I have always been self conscious of my monkey mouth profile so i just went ahead & did it. But now reading everything online now I am terrified. What kind of effects will it have on my face? Can i do anything to reverse it? Implants?
when i was growing up i developed underbite and my lower jaw is protruding. I am currently wearing full set of denture in the upper part. I am planning to get a permanent full upper dental impants as well as jaw surgery to correct my underbite. I am wondering which procedure should go first and for how long will it take to fully heal and correct? Many thanks!
