After my implant the doctor adjusted a flipper that was very uncomfortable since it pressured on the surrounding teeth instead of the implant site(then he released the pressure a little) a while afterwards he said i have generalized upper and lower mobility, my perio said it wasnt bone loss or anything but it was from a bad bite, and after my surgery my bite did change a lot (possibly because of the flipper it was too thick maybe) do i need braces to adjust the bite and stabilize my teeth?
..My implant was placed in 2014 ..all healed well..when the abutment was put in place thats when my issuse began ..Serious facil pressure followed by nerve damage....After almost 2 years my pain has been under control..So i decided to put the tooth back when the abutment was put in the second time to take an impression..the facil pressure was almost immediate...i just had a denatl catscan done..it shiws a Shadow around the implant. .Possible infection???Should this be removed
Its been 3 months that I've had my dental implants i have 2 of them on the top of my mouth and the one on my right side ive notice today is feeling weird. when i push on the gum i feel pressure and a little pain, but the one on the left side feels normal. Im so scared and i don't want my implant to be rejecting is there anyway my implant can still be saved if it is infected? I'm going to go to the dentist after this weekend i just need some advice I'm having terrible anxiety from this
I have read several articles lately that promote the concept that a single lost tooth is enough to trigger bone loss. If that is true, how can all on four prevent bone loss (a concept that is routinely promoted in the dental industry)? Certainly four implants will not provide the same measure of pressure to the bone. Have I misunderstood what I read? Do all on four merely offer a partial solution to bone loss that can never compare with a full set of teeth?
This causes me some worries. Could this have future complications in any way? What impact can it have? When I start to bite on it, can the pressure on the implant cause the implant move towards the next tooth's root or lead to implant being loose?
Two months ago a dentist removed one tooth but I guess she left a piece of bone so now when I put my denture and put pressure in it, it hurts like when I eat. So now they told me a surgeon has to remove the piece of bone but I have to pay $280.00 for it.
Could this implants close proximity to the adjacent tooth be the reason im feeling pressure and tightness or is it the nerve pain that i suffered when the implant prep drill violated the nerve canal. My dr thinks it the nerve pain but in all the parasthesia cases ive read about no one mention tightness and pressure in the adjacent teeth so im wondering if its not a symptom of the nerve damage. Thanks Mike
