I recently received two implants in two of my front teeth 2,1 and 2,2. I still has the roots there, so extraction, bone grafting and implant placement were all done at once. There was a lot of swelling on my face but after 3 days, there is a bump on the roof of my mouth that seems to be getting bigger. Not sure if this is normal or if it is a concern? As far as I can tell, I do not have healing caps yet as they are not visible.
I had a dental implant a month ago, my stitches came out in couple of days. Now the gum looks like it cant get attached to each other because there is this little bump in between. Ive attached photos for clarity. Should I be worried? Thank you in advance.
Hi, I had a tooth extraction & same-day implant placement (1/23).I had pain post surgery w/ nasal discharge.I was put on Augmentin (7 days) and Methylprednisolone (5 days). Approx. 1mo. post, a bump developed. My dentist popped the bump & treated w/ Chlorhexidine for 2 wks. He noted a greater amt. of bone loss than expected. 2 weeks post Chlorhexidine, the bump is back (see pic). What is this is and how should it be treated? Should I continue with my dentist or go see a specialist?
I recently had a dental implant procedure and had the stitches removed 2 weeks post op. It's been 3 days since the stitches have been removed. After brushing my teeth tonight, I noticed a small bump above my gums and as well under. Could this be an infection or a common occurance in these types of situations? I am also wearing a flipper until the crown can be placed, could this be the issue?
I just got the teeth part of my dental plants put on 3 days ago. I have 5 of them done and the one on top is still throbbing. It hurts terribly and there's now a bump on the same side of the roof of m mouth. Infection?
