I have a dental appointment on Saturday which will be 10 days after dermal filler injections around my lip and nasal fold area. My provider told me to wait 10 days but I now see that most people are told to wait 2 weeks. I'm now scared that dental work will affect the filler results or cause infection.
I chipped my front tooth completely in half, and my dentist wants me to wait 6 months before getting a crown. The temporary tooth does not look great and he made it stick out so that it was thicker and wouldnt break easily. I dont understand why I need a to wait to get a root canal when i heard it could be years before the root goes bad AND you can still do a root canal through a crown?
I had my implant put in 4 months ago, but can only get in to see my dentist in 3 weeks. So it would be another month or two before I can get the crown. Should I go in as an emergancy walkin, so I can get the crown sooner? Thank you!
The treatment has been very successful (2 weeks ago). The endodontis put a temporary filling. Does this filling need to be replaced with a permanent filling, if so, how long can I wait? Or, do I need a new crown (even though, my current one was not damaged), how long can I wait? What is the approximate cost of a permanent filling vs. a new crown? I Live in Toronto. Thank you!
I've had filling after filling and they chip and stain all the time. I was told I don't have much tooth structure left. My dentist fixed my fillings for me today and said yes I'll need crowns eventually. If I call my dentist to make an appointment to start getting crowns in the next month, can he tell me no, it's too early? I just figure I have to get them eventually and I'd rather start now than later and let my teeth get worse.
got my permanent crown last Tuesday and had pain whenever I bite down (couldn't use that tooth at all) because the crown was too high. And ever since two days ago, my tooth has been having lingering pain even when not biting. Yesterday dentist adjusted the bite. The dentist said it SHOULD be fine but he never did any x-ray. Will I just have wait another week to see if the pain will be gone? Seems very counterproductive, shouldn't we assume I have it instead of letting it get worse?
the dentist could not well reshape my existing teeth saying the older dentist did the cutting wrong exposing my nerve, anyway he did some drilling and fitted the new crown but now when i close my teeth my lower teeth touches the back of my crown, specially when i am eating (on side teeth) its continuously touching the back of my crown and is very un-comfortable, should i wait for 24hrs?tand if not will it require redoing all the procedure ? or just some drilling or grinding of the crown?
after a crown lengthening procedure, the provisional crown doesn't fit at all, and it doesn't hold there. Considering a healing period is needed after the crown lengthening, is it a good idea to put in another provisional crown less than three weeks after the crown lengthening procedure? My dentist says the tooth cannot be uncovered, and strongly urges a provisional put in right now. I'm not sure if more healing time should pass before a provisional crown is put in.
