I recently got my veneers/crowns redone. I dont like how wide my teeth look and I feel like theyre too big for my mouth. Here is some background: I originally had a veneer on tooth 9 and a crown on 8 (root canal) but they put a bridge on 9&8 because they thought tooth 8 would be too weak with a stand alone crown. 7 and 10 are implants. I was born without 6/11 so 7/12 are veneers made to look like k9s. 5 is also a veneer.
I had a crown placed recently for cosmetic reasons, as well as for strength of the tooth. the temporary wasnt the best color but it was the right shape and size.. I now have the permanent crown but I didnt realize while I was at the dentist that it is so bulky. Its also too long. Its giving me a lisp and my bottom teeth hit it when I chew. My natural and temp tooth did not protrude. I approved it, but it was hard to see while there.
My crowns are feeling all of the above for my smile. I had an awful experience with a dentist who placed them on, did no trial, & got upset when I said they didn't look right on me. He said let me place the tops in and you'll see it better. They feel uncomfortable, when I talk I have a lisp, the teeth feel long in back, & implant is causing odd cold sensations in lips. My folks sacrificed everything. Their home, for me and now I've wasted their money.
I recently had a crown put on my two front bottom teeth that were badly chipped after an accident. My teeth were very crooked to begin with and my dentist ended up using one crown to cover both to make them look straight. However the crown is irritating my tongue since i can feel a very sharp edge on the bottom. I also feel as though my bite is too high. My question is, can this be fixed and is it common practice to crown two teeth with one crown when they are misaligned?
Recently I had crowns put on my front teeth. I said several times that they look too big and bulky. The Dentist told me to give them time and they should adjust... this is hard for me because my twin sister had the same 6 teeth done and hers look amazing! I also think they sit out way too much giving me a huge over bite!
I got crowns on my four front teeth and I hate them. They are bulky, too big and squint. They just look like big fake white teeth. How hard is it to remove these and how can I make sure the next ones (if I can afford them) look better?
A crown was put on my back molar, next to the last tooth on the right side, due to a crack in my tooth. It is bigger than my other teeth, it sticks out farther than the other teeth. It looks nothing like my other teeth. It hurts when I chew, and even when I'm not eating. I told the dentist that I thought it was too big, and he said it fits along the gum line. I have been back for bite adjustments 3 times already. Is there anything else I can do? This has been going on for about 4 months now.
I had 8 front crowns placed to correct crocked teeth &I hate them. Before my teeth curved inward, now I have a massive overbite I hate. Before the process they told me I needed my gums laser reshaped. I did this, now the permanents are placed and my gum line is awful. Giant space above one crown. My front 2 teeth you cannot tell in pic but the gum line does not cover the top of those crowns well. Color is not white enough. They look to big. I hate everything :( I have a follow up scheduled
I previously had a root canal and crown placement about 5 years ago. My crown broke and so I had a new one placed. It feels too wide, hurts on one area of the tooth when I bite, and when I floss, the floss goes almost all the way under the crown and then rips in half. I went back to my dentist file it down but it still feels terrible and very unnatural. I'm concerned that filing down too much will weaken the crown and that I likely need a new crown made. Please advise.
