Ive had a continuous odor and bad taste coming from my upper crowns that I had placed three years ago. The odor started immediately. Ive had numerous visits and conversations with my dentist who claims there is nothing wrong. Ive never had a problem prior to this. I had 6 crowns placed on my upper teeth.
After 14 years post broke on 3 teeth bridge. It had a nasty taste.dentist put new post and Zirconia bridge for 4 teeth to be stronger. After 1 year convinced my doc that the bridge was loose & taste never went away. The post got loose, broke again, so had to pull out the tooth and had a new bridge ceramic to metal. Now I have tart taste from under the crown that caps the live tooth, chipped bridge & feel the margin with my tongue. Can it be leaking margin and dentist doesnt want to admit that?
I recently got all my teeth done due to a collapsed bite with porcelain crowns. I have been waking up with a cut right in the middle of my upper lip. I'm guessing it's from my 2 front teeth because the cut is right in between both? Also, When the work was all done my back bottom tooth crown was on for a while but then started to come out. I had it re cemented but since then I have been tasting a weird taste in my mouth only in that area. Almost like it wasnt sealed properly? Is that normal?
Foul, metallic taste that is very unpleasant and certainly causing halitosis. I have other crowns, but this is my only e-max crown. I've had no problems with my other crowns. Bite wing and a periapical x-ray show no problems, and the crown margin is sealed. The dentist who placed the crown is a superb dentist. What can be done to eliminate this terrible taste and smell?
The top crown was fitted and kept falling out a post was put it but the crown still fell out. It was cemented back in but now I have a lump on the roof of my mouth that comes and goes. The lower crown that was fitted sometimes hurts when I bite and the third crown that was fitted there is a gap from the gum line to the crown. My top jaw feels like I have jaw ache and I get a horrible taste in my mouth and suffer from headaches. Please help as I don't know where to turn.
I had a gold and a porcelain crown put on a week ago and I am have a bitter metallic taste in my mouth with a burning/tingling tongue. I went back to the dentist and he said it's not from the procedure and I must have changed my diet, which I haven't.
I am 16 weeks pregnant and have had a weird taste that seems to be coming from the area of my dental crown. I went to the dentist to have it checked and both the hygienist and the dentist said the crown and gums around the crown look healthy. The crown is not pulling away from the gums and they see no evidence of a crack/leak.
