I have recently got 2 crowns done. And they both have a gab between the gum line and crown margin. Also the bite went slightly forward and the top teeth do no ho over the new crowns like they do on the other side. Instead they are hitting the crowns. I got them redone but there was not much of a change and now the doctor is telling me that he will not be redoing these crowns and that they are done correctly and wont refund me either.
If I had a crown made that needs to be redone do I need to have a new impression and model made or can they use the model that was used initially. The crown is cemented on with temporary glue. It fits but the shape and color are off. Just wondering if I need to start all over. Thanks.
I cracked tooth #14 that had a large filling. Doctor said the tooth couldnt be saved and it needed a crown. No scan was taken prior to crown prep and what I ended up with is very bulky and rough. I have constant pain and discomfort on my cheek and tongue, my bite feels off, and Im experiencing alot of jaw pain and clicking. I had about 3 adjustments done and was told that it could not be adjusted any further because it needs to be a certain thickness.
I hate how my teeth look. To me, theyre like marshmallows. Theyre long and dont flatter my face. Im supposed to be ecstatic about them but I barely want to look at them. I consulted with my dentist and she told me itd be full price to do it over again, and any adjustments like thinning or shortening could fracture the crown. Do I try to find another cosmetic dentist thatll redo them at a reasonable price? I cant imagine keeping these for the full 10 to 15 years.
Need a professional opinion. I think these new crowns look awful. Gray and too short. I sound like I have a lisp when I speak now. Do dentists usually fix this at no additional cost? I had 6-11 all redone.
Crown placed in Nov., the crown makes little to no contact with the opposing tooth. It's on #19. The crown is bulky but for the most part doesn't bother me. Except it hurts to floss on the mesial side of tooth. New dentist wants to redo crown due to poor contouring. I am getting braces now and both orthodontist and dentist want a new crown before starting braces. Don't most providers say to place a temp crown during braces? I don't want a new crown to get ruined during braces or mess up my bite.
She put in crowns and I later switched to another dentist. I have much sensitivity to cold/chewing. My new dentist said the crown needs to be redone due to a gap/poor crown work. My new dentist contacted the old dentist to request a refund. The old dentist said she would redo the crown, but would not honor any refund if another dentist performed the work. Is this normal? She did a poor job the first time, I don't want to go back to her. What are my options? Thank you.
I have two crowns that I don't like for cosmetic reasons on molars, is there any risk to have them redone? They are live teeth, if I redo then 3rd time is it like asking for a root canal? Also if the crown the lab creates doesn't satisfy my requirements can the dentist sent it back to have it made to my satisfaction? I have small teeth and so far crowns always come back too bulky compared to natural teeth, so if it comes in bulky can I ask to have it remade?
i had this crown for over two months it was very plaue retentive and soon i had pain in bitting and throbing continuous pain couldnt sleep at night my cheeks where acking i removed the crown my dentist told me it needs simple adjacements but am not so sure it can solve all the problems, pls my dentist told me i had periodontal pocket..what do you suggest
