I had a crown done privately (I believe it was a partial crown) on my back top tooth (number 7). I was flossing with normal force and the crown as completely popped off in one piece. I called them and I am currently waiting for it to be re-cemented on. However, Im worried he isnt good at his job and now I am nervous. Am I due a refund or partial refund?
Just had 2 front teeth replaced with 2 new permanent crowns. When I floss in between the middle of the crowns it bleeds heavily. It does not bleed on the sides of the crowns only in the middle of the 2 front crowns. Is there a problem?
Crown placed in Nov., the crown makes little to no contact with the opposing tooth. It's on #19. The crown is bulky but for the most part doesn't bother me. Except it hurts to floss on the mesial side of tooth. New dentist wants to redo crown due to poor contouring. I am getting braces now and both orthodontist and dentist want a new crown before starting braces. Don't most providers say to place a temp crown during braces? I don't want a new crown to get ruined during braces or mess up my bite.
I recently had dental work done and the string floss either breaks between my teeth or wont go in between my teeth at all anymore I had fillings done on my teeth and temporary crowns. Does a water flosser like waterpik replace string floss?
I got a root canal done years ago and it took me years to finally place the crown (2015). Ever since then I always have to floss there because food easily gets stuck. Its been 2-3 weeks that I noticed that the gums in between my tooth and the tooth with the crown hurt especially when I floss it, I even bleed. I am 10 weeks pregnant so I dont know if thats a contributing factor. What can this be? Im my picture I am pointing where In between it hurts. Its not around the crown but in between teeth.
I floss after every time I eat and it feels like Im not getting it all out. Kind of like its still stuck in there. My gums are swollen just in that part of my mouth. When I floss there the floss smells bad and when I touch my gums and put pressure they start to bleed. Ive had this crown for years, Ive just noticed this food problem after I got my teeth cleaned last month. Im thinking of buying a water flosser to help get all the food out and keep it more clean, will that help?
A dentist I recently saw said there is gap between the crown and the neighboring tooth, which led to food tracked there, or maybe decay, but he couldn't see decay behind the crown because the crown is made of metal and X-ray doesn't show behind the crown. He strongly suggest I have the crown replaced, but my crown was put in less than 2 years ago. My concern is, when I smell strong odor from floss, would my breath smell bad when I talk to people? Should I get the crown replaced as soon as possible?
I went and got a total of 5 porcelain crowns (w metal) completed yesterday. My results were pretty great, in my opinion, until I messed them up by flossing. I flossed tonight by pulling out, not down, and pulled out a tiny bit of what I thought was glue. Now, I'm paranoid because it appears that the area is darker and I'm worried that i made some hole/gap or chipped something? These are my first crowns. I'm paranoid but I spent a lot of money and pain - don't want to ignore a problem!
Tooth had RCT done and food trapped while temp crown on. She cleaned and put permanent crown was put. After a few days i have pain around ear, neck, jaw etc. went back adjusted the bite. It smelled bad when i floss. Now after 2 days pain still not getting better... my gum is swollen. She said wait for at least a week... black area was shown in the xray around crown and gum line. She said keep it clean floss well.. i am not sure if she needs to redo the crown? It is infected? Any thoughts?
Teeth 45 and 46 Splinted implant crown put in a couple days ago. After the crown put in, my dentist did some adjustment and I felt no pain with bite. My problem is after every meal, the food stuck in between the crown and nearby tooth and in between the gum and crown. I must do floss to make the food out after each meal. I am worried about the food stuck in. Please give me some advice how to slove the problem. Any adjustment will fill the gap or not? Food stuck there will hurt gum and tooth.
