I'm 21 years old, have had a few dental issues over the years. When I was 19 I had to have a root canal on my first molar due to dentist not filling properly, and in Feb this tooth cracked and had to be extracted because the root canal failed. Now, the same tooth (upper first molar) on the other side of mouth is having similar issues and pain. Dentist has said if the pain persists I will need a root canal and probably a crown. Am a bit concerned as I'm only 21!!
I had root canal treatment 6years back. I'm 22 year old. One year back i had orthodontic treatment, where i had no issues regarding my gums. After wearing retainer my gum start to swell and bleed even though i clean my retainer regularly and the retainer also properly fitted. Please help me
Hi, I have a pretty large cavity on tooth 18, that my dentist says is like right at the nerve. It doesnt hurt or cause me any pain really, but he says its pretty deep. He said it would work to get a root canal and crown, but he doesnt think that its best for the long term. Instead he wants to extract it and hope that wisdom tooth #17 grows into its place on its own. From my research online, this seems highly unlikely. I am 20, and dont want to be without a tooth there. Is it for the best?
Hi Im 24 yrs old I have just took off my braces and was planing to put a crown for my lateral incisor tooth i left the space for the crown its sot thin compared to the the other one on my right side. I need to make sure if the crown is the only option and what type of it or there are other option i can choose, noting that i already left a space around the tooth for the crown
I'm thinking of getting a dental crown to cover up some decay on two of my teeth. I'm only 21 years old. To my knowledge dental crowns can last from anything from 5-15 years. I'll be getting a porcelain crown if possible for the best cosmetic look possible. They may last longer in some cases. Will the tooth be extracted or can another dental crown be placed and have another 10-15 years. Summary: What typically happens after a crown has reached it's life span?
I had A root canal done when I was around 10-11 & he left a gap between the crown and my gum. Well 8 years later and that crown has fallen off. Should I be worried ? What should I do? It came off after eating some gummies. I caught it just in time and its still in tact .
Let's just say at a very young age (roughly between 12 or 13 years old) I started drinking coffee, heavily. Now, at 24, my two front teeth lost most of their enamel and they're not in great condition from grinding, too. They're smaller now and lost their natural color. My dentist wants to do porcelain crowns on those two teeth. Would it be bad to ask my dentist for a more affordable alternative (like composite veneers) until I can afford crowns?
