I have had my zirconium crowns (10 upper and 10 lower) for 4 years, no issues. I returned to the same practise for a check up, who advised they are more than happy with the oral hygiene and only slight adjustments/polish was made. I was very anxious and sought a 2nd opinion, where the 2nd dentist adjusted my bite as he said I had high points when biting (from the biting papers). He filed the crowns down, which now feel very rough . I am frightened that they are damaged :( Marks can be seen?
I recently had a rct and had a gold crown set on that tooth. It feels like it may be too high (even after 3 adjustments prior to cement). Can a gold crown be trimmed, so to speak, while on the tooth? Also, some cement was left on the crown, between my teeth. When I got home, I picked it out with floss. In doing so, a bit a cement visibly scratched the surface of my gold crown. Can this scratch be polished out? I appreciate any insight that one can offer. Thank you for your time
I recently got them cemented in and the dentist showed me them before without using temporary or permanent cement however now that theyre on...one is longer than the other. My original teeth was even across the top but there were stains and thats the reason I got crowns. After temporarily trying 2 other pair of crowns the dentist and lab finally got color and shape right but now its permenant one is cemented longer than the other
Had crowns put on teeth 7-10 about 5 days ago. No problems with temps, but now my bottom tooth keeps hitting the back side of #8. Never had that problem before. Can my crown be adjusted to fix that problem? Will the crown need to be removed and cemented again?
I had a crown placed about a month ago & now I can definitely tell it needs to be adjusted. This was my first crown of two & two different women in office adjusted each one for the dentist, the second one explained what would happen if it was set too high. Now Im experiencing all that but am curious how they adjust it & if it cost a lot?
I just recently for cavity filling done. My dentist initially said I may need root canal, but she did cavity filling instead. Last week when I went to get crown, I still had pain, then she said I may need root canal, but she went ahead with crown. Now after a week it still hurts, bite also needs to be adjusted and I may need to get a root canal. But my questions is do I need to pay her for root canal as well? I aleady paid her for cavity filling which did not work.
Had broken partial crown replaced on #14 2 months ago with full Cerec crown. It's had 6 adjustments so far. Bite still off, tooth hurts/aches, is briefly sensitive to hot and cold. Dentist says it doesn't need root canal (he tested). Now premolars top and bottom starting to hurt from hitting hard. He says I have a tight bite hence need for careful adjusting. I had no pain or bite problems before. I'm taking advil all day, chewing on other side. Please help!
Crowns were put on 3 weeks ago. I expressed concerns before cementing but he reassured me that I just needed time to adjust. I called the next day and told them I am very unhappy with the crowns. Dentist made adjustments without my consent. He was rude and disrespectful. Can I try and pursue a refund? Sue? Go through insurance? Redo? How likely will Delta Dental award the money back? I feel like I am left with no other choice to redo now since he made alterations that I did not consent to.
I have REALLY bad teeth so got crowns on the front 8 teeth for the cosmetic aspect. I couldn't believe how amazing my temporaries looked but after the crowns were placed, I'm so upset. I feel like they stick out SO MUCH and look terrible. I want my temporaries back! Can they be flattened to match the shape of my original teeth? I feel stupid even complaining about this because of my before picture but I seriously hate how they look but I can't afford to pay another 8k to have them redone.
I recently had a crown implanted on a tooth which previously (many years ago) had had a root canal. I have had 3 adjustments to date and it's still sensitive. Specifically, it's sensitive when I bite down on anything remotely hard (not hot or cold sensitive, just harder foods like a nut). Do I need yet another adjustment? I'm beginning to consider seeing another dentist. Thanks.
