He apparently put more stuff in than normal. My gums are still swollen and have minor throbbing pain in them every time something touches the area. And one end of a stitch is detached and it hurts even more when it's touched. Brushing is painful. I have taken all my antibiotics. I don't know what's up or if i'm freaking out over nothing. Thank
I have pretty bad pain in my jaw that sometimes goes into my ear and eye socket. I took the full course of antibiotics. I have been taking Aleve for the pain but it is really not doing much. I am not chewing on that side and my stitches are still intact, they are being removed today.
Tooth extraction and bone grafting done 7 days ago. Pain started day 2 and is progressively worsening. It is intolerable past couple days despite advil, tylenol and pain pills. I have been on antibiotics, peridex rinses and trying salt water rinses. The salt water rinses bother it worse. Please help me to understand what could be going on. I don't think anybody is believing me on how bad this pain is.
I had a bone graft this past Monday. Im taking antibiotics 3 times a day and doing a warm salt rinse twice a day. Im concerned at the look of my gums and how far down it is, maybe one of my stitches is loose? Also, a little white has come out. My surgeon isnt open until Monday so I was hoping to get some input. Thank you for any information or insight.
I had old implants for dentures removed a month ago along with cadaver bone graft. Took antibiotics, rinsed mouth and was feeling better. Noticed a week ago I started having cold like symptoms. Now I have bad jaw and mouth pain, white gums and headache. What could it be?
I had bone graft surgery in my lower left for 2 missing teeth and the dentist used bone bank for the surgery. I was prescribed antibiotic and pain killers. However, It has been 12 days and the pain doesn't seem to alleviate. I went back to the dentist 8 days after the surgery to check if there are any problems and he said that it's healing well. I'm still having lots of pain after 12 days and the pain killers are not as effective as they initially were. I'm not sure if this normal.
Stitches appear to have dissolved and have very little, if any pain. Area is just a bit tender. Concern is a flap of skin (it almost feels as if it's on a hinge) that I can place tongue under and lift. I also feel particles from time to time that i assume is bone graft material in mouth. I have two days of antibiotics left and dentist told me to return in three months unless problems arrive. Don't think there is any infection but who knows?
6 days ago I had my back molar extracted and a bone graft in preparation for a future dental implant. The sutures are dissolving and it appears the area is opening slightly - a shadowy crease. Over the last few days I have found two small bone pieces (I'm assuming from the graft) in my mouth. I still have a dull ache, but nothing Motrin cannot handle. Should the area be re-stitched? I don't go back for my post-op visit for 5 more days and my antibiotic runs out tomorrow.
I had tooth #14 extracted due to abcess and bone graft placed on 8/2/13. I have had worsening pain since Monday.I've only experienced slight relief when the sealant came out of the gum on Thursday (in 2, 1cm sized chunks. is that normal?).Yesterday, the doctor said everything looks great and the xray looked good.Because I was in so much pain he put me on a stronger antibiotic and gave me flexeril to take before bed (possibly grinding my teeth at night). I am feeling extreme pain at this point.
