He apparently put more stuff in than normal. My gums are still swollen and have minor throbbing pain in them every time something touches the area. And one end of a stitch is detached and it hurts even more when it's touched. Brushing is painful. I have taken all my antibiotics. I don't know what's up or if i'm freaking out over nothing. Thank
I had tooth #8 extracted two weeks ago due to accident, and a graft was placed for future implant. No membrane was used leaving the synthetic graft material exposed. A small chunk of graft material came out yesterday in one clump and I am wondering if this normal? Is the graft supposed to be flush with the bottom of the gum or is this slight crater looking appearance ok? Thank you.
Two weeks ago I had one of my molar teeth extracted along with a bone graft in preparation for an implant. I developed a dry socket and that seems to have cleared up. I am still in quite a bit of pain, my gums, my jaw and what feels like my cheek. I take Advil a couple times a day for relief. I went in yesterday and was told all looks good, however it is healing pretty slow. Should I still be in this much pain and be uncomfortable?
I have pretty bad pain in my jaw that sometimes goes into my ear and eye socket. I took the full course of antibiotics. I have been taking Aleve for the pain but it is really not doing much. I am not chewing on that side and my stitches are still intact, they are being removed today.
I had a dental bone graft 2 1/2 weeks ago. The stitches came loose and were removed 12 days post op. I can now see a gap between the sides of the incision - essentially there is a hole in my gums and the graft is showing through. I'm not sure if it is the bone or the membrane they put over the graft. Will it heal or do I need to call my oral surgeon to fix it?
Hello doc, I had done my bone grafting surgery and it's been two weeks. I quitted smoking for two weeks and my question is can I smoke hereafter, does it affect my dental implant which will be placed after some months?
I had bone graft surgery in my lower left for 2 missing teeth and the dentist used bone bank for the surgery. I was prescribed antibiotic and pain killers. However, It has been 12 days and the pain doesn't seem to alleviate. I went back to the dentist 8 days after the surgery to check if there are any problems and he said that it's healing well. I'm still having lots of pain after 12 days and the pain killers are not as effective as they initially were. I'm not sure if this normal.
I had a root canal and crown on this tooth 3 yrs ago, began having pain again 1 mo ago, general dentist said infected and needs extracted. 14 days ago had extraction and bone graft done. Pain requiring narcotics still. Re-X-ray 4d ago fine. Yesterday was starting to feel better then today while rinsing a part of I assume the bone graft came out. Dentist office says still ok as they pack bone graft deep down. I still see white bone material down in hole. But now pain is bad bad again. Worried!
