Hi, Would like to ask what ligaments are or should be released for a deep plane face lift? What ligaments address different parts of the face? Would not releasing all of the necessary ligaments give poor results? What also happens with the SMAS as I have been left questioning if I truly had a deep plane as my SMAS was folded. I did not think this was done/happened for deep plane? Thank you
Hello, I am 52. I am interested in having a deep plane face lift. When I was 21 yrs I had radiation treatment on my neck for Hodgkins Disease lymphoma. I understand that this would have caused some scarring. I also had PDO threads one time last summer. Have you or any surgeons you know done a deep plane face lift in this case? Any research on topic? Would it be too risky for a successful healing? Please let me know any concerns of things to think about. Thank you! Tam
With a deep plane facelift, are the ligaments that you cut then re-attatched? Can the face sag worse after ligaments are cut? What is left to support the smas? Can this type of facelift alter your appearance? Cause scarring or asymetrical face shape. Thanks!
I am not exactly sure what is going on. I did discuss it with my surgeon and she said give it 6 months that it is swelling. Did anyone look great at first then swell at 4 months then go back to tight? I personally feel that it is more than swelling. It feels like my entire face is sliding down. Before surgery I had loose skin but not a big fat pocket like now.
I currently 57. I got a deep place facelift, lower skin pinch, a temporal brow lift and fat grafting last July with a very experienced surgeon. I traveled for the work and for the most part am very happy. As I've healed I see an irregularity that bothers me on my left undereye region mostly. I feel as if it's not symmetrical and kind of has a lumpish look. Looking for feedback as to what it could be and how it may be resolved. This side was much more swollen right after surgery. Thank you.
I had ONLY a deep plane facelift revision and now my right cheek is dented, flat, and lumpy. The dents exacerbate upon smiling (photo). Surgeon says this is fat atrophy due to revision surgery. (I don't think this is possible since I saw this issue immediately after wrap removal.). Could sutures be too tight in my muscles or some other type of damage?? What could be causing this and what would you suggest to fix this issue ?? (I haven't had any fat transfers done. Only deep plane facelift)
Hello. Is it possible to have a deep plane facelift, or any type of facelift, with regular stitches rather than dissolvable ones? Ive had dissolvable stitches twice previously for other surgeries and they never dissolved.Im concerned to have dissolvable stitches again especially in my face. Can anyone advise on this please and if youve ever experienced stitches not dissolving and becoming embedded in the skin and the outcome please. Thank you
