I had full ablative CO2 on my face four days ago, washing my twice a say and using Aquaphor. I have not started to peel and face is very red but no longer swollen. I planned to take one week off but due to a car accident two of my colleagues have passed away and I need to go back to work. What do I do? Suncream on top of the Aquaphor? Called my dermatologist but he is on holidays until the end of the week and the nurse was not sure what is the best.
Had CO2 laser on Monday (face). On Sunday I assisted the scaliness (due to two events to attend and no peeling) with slight brushing using a dry razor, and some scaby particles came off. The minute scabs were still there just the top scaly layer got off and the areas smoothed out to apply makeup. No cuts, no bleeding, only less scabbiness. Want to know if what I did was okay and won't create any trouble in betterment of skin? Been following prescribed ointment, moisturizer and sunblock routine.
I had traditional ablative co2 laser done on my cheek for a scar a month and a half ago. Yesterday I was outside for a few hours while it was very cloudy with light rain, I had SPF 55 on my face to try and protect the treated area. I noticed this morning a part of the treated area is more red than before. I'm worried I caused damage to my skin even though I wore SPF and it was very cloudy and I couldn't see the sun through the clouds. Please give me advice on what I should do, I'm so worried.
Do I need to entirely avoid alcohol? Smoking weed? Going to the gym in the first month post laser? Non sensitive sunscreen? I drink alcohol once a week (about 6-8 drinks) and smoke weed once a week. Will this make my results worse or is that in enough moderation to not make a big difference? I eat really healthy, protect myself from the sun, keep my skin moisturized, and stay active with the gym and running. Are there any specific foods or habits that can help maximize collagen production?
I had Deka dot fractional CO2 five days ago is it normal to still have some under eye swelling? Just worried because about a year and three months ago a plastic surgeon injected some sort of filler in my tear troughs, I always thought it looked a little puffy/saggy after that. So now I am worried that this is going to exacerbate that? The swelling is getting better, but it has been five days. I also have a fever blister on my chin, treated with Acyclovir the day of treatment and onward, normal?
I got co2 laser resurfacing treatment today on my face for scars and wrinkles. Obviously I'm not in any sort of rush to go out anywhere since I'm going to be really red but just for a second opinion what would you say is a good time where I can start wearing makeup and have minor sun exposure? Next week I was planing on going somewhere that's outside but I would wear a hat and sunscreen that covers my face is that ok? What are your thought on this? Thanks so much.
I had developed hyperpigmentation from co2 laser...which cream should I use ? I have access to...retain a, hydroquino 4%,kojic acid,kojivit cream ?or any other...and also which sunscreen???
Heellpp! I'm in Thailand, and my skin care clinic offered very contradictory information. After fractional CO2 laser (not full face, just a few areas with wrinkles), if I want to go outside during the day, do I need sunscreen, hat, and umbrella? Or just a hat and sunscreen? If I do need an umbrella in addition to a hat and sunscreen, after how many weeks can I safely stop using the umbrella? What about sunlight coming in through the windows? The sun is very strong here in Thailand. Thanks!
