I had a chin implant placed about 6 months . To start when everything was still swollen I loved it. Now that the swelling has gone I feel deformed blonde is my before, black hair is my after as of 2 days ago. Is the implant misplaced? The wrong size? I hate my profile more than I did before surgery and dont know what to do. My surgeon didnt give me a clear answer just to return in a few months if I was still unhappy
Had a chin implant placed four months ago. Its placed way too high and was not what I asked for as I wanted an implant that added some girth to the sides like a mittleman pre jowl. The surgeon said its placed perfectly and even after the scans wont revise it because he said its my anatomy. Im definitely getting a revision but will I need the implant removed and have to wait to heal then have one placed? Or can it be removed and replaced in the proper position in the same surgery?
10 weeks post chin implant, insertion via inside of mouth. Still slightly numb on my bottom lip, and 1 side is lazier than the other when talking/smiling. The implant obstructs biting into things, and food gets stuck in the elevated groove created inside my mouth. I feel like its placed high on my chin (we wanted it to improve my profile, not elongate my face) Is it possible my mental nerve is being squished/damaged? What are my options if so? My own doctor has told me to be patient.
Had a rhinoplasty and chin implant a little over two years ago. I hate my rhinoplasty because he didnt shave my bump down completely forcing me to go through a revision but now I feel like he placed my chin implant a little to high. When I touch it, I feel like there is a hard ball right under my lip. Isnt a chin implant supposed to go right on the jaw line? The chin implant was done from underneath the chin and not through the inner lip. I am not sure what type of implant was used.
I had a chin implant 6 years ago. It was placed intraorally and implant has wings. Does it look too big or placed too high? Perhaps it has moved up as I have read is common with intraorally placed implants. I can also feel a slight bump on my left jaw which makes me think the wing is misplaced. Is revision recommended?
I had my surgery about 5 or 6 days ago. I had a septoplasty, rhinoplasty, and chin augmentation. My nostrils are over-exposed. Tomorrow is my post-op visit, and I am very nervous. I took several weeks off of work and don't go back until mid June. I think I may want the chin implant taken out before then. Will my chin look smaller over time? Will the tip of my nose drop?
Hi.. 2.5 months ago I exchanged my silicon 7 mm button implant to a silicone anatomical 12 mm, both placed submentally. The previous one was placed too high and tilted so I had it exchanged, now the area where the old implant was is still swollen and ruins the shape of the new implant. Is this the capsule from the old implant or just post op swelling? Is there anything I can do to help it shrink or dissolve faster? The old implant was there for 7 months before revision. Thank you.
I've had a my chin implant for slightly over a year now and it's had numbness and tightness the entire time. I thought it would eventually get back to normal but it never did. But tonight I was feeling the inside of my mouth and realized I can actually feel the implant from inside my mouth. I can only feel it on the numb side. Does this mean that the implant is too high and is pressing on my mental nerve? Is there any chance that removing it will relieve some of the pressure/tightness/numbness?
