I am 54 male with a large Implatech face lengthening implant . I have had it for 8 years . I have never liked it. Its still tight and too square. A surgeon I visited said he can removed it and replace it with a smaller button type implant. My concern was that the small implant will move around inside the large pocket . He said he uses stitches to secure it to the internal tissue to hold it in place . I have never heard of this . Can this work or are titanium screw the only option ?
It was done 2-1/2 months ago,I dont like the size of my implant, it is small than expected The dr. did the surgery from inside due to which the stitches are up on my gums and everytime I talk/laugh I have a funny smile/funny laugh, and could feel a lump inside my mouth. Is this normal?I can feel the wing of implant on the left side too. So, i want to do revision surgery to cut those stitched muscles inside and make the implant medium side from the cut under the chin, is it possible to do it now?
I have spoken with my doctor about the pain I am still feeling 20 days after my implant. I only have pain on the left side which seems to be located right above the dimple that is above the lumpy part of the scar. The doctor says I need to have the whole implant removed to alleviate the pain but I believe there is a stitch that is tugging whenever I talk or chew. I can't stand the thought of having the implant taken out, is there a way to relieve the pulling without removing the whole implant?
I had a chin implant 1.5 months ago and although the external stitches were taken out 7 days post op, I still feel the stitches under the skin. My incision was made externally not orally. Are these sutures Permanent or will they eventually go away? It feels really hard under my chin and it's really starting to bother me. I can't get a hold of my surgeon to ask.
I got in to an accident and split my chin open, had about 8 stitches to close it back up 3 years ago. It has caused my chin to look lopsided. When I run on it I can feel the scar tissue underneath. What is the best procedure to even this out? Chin implants? Laser to get rid of the scar tissue underneath? Any advice is hugely appreciated
I've had a chin implant fitted just under 2-weeks ago which was inserted through my mouth. A part of the original stitches/suture came undone last week, therefore, I went to the dentist to get it re-stitched (the clinic where the procedure was carried out is in Prague, I'm in London). One of the new stitches has come apart and I don't think now that it can be re-stitched. Will the area heal by itself or should I get it re-stitched?
I had a chin implant 10 days ago and the stitches have been removed. My doctor said I can have regular sex but I failed to ask about perorming oral sex which stresses the mouth area.. Please be specific with a time line in your answer.
