I had my chin implant surgery back in July of 2023 and it's been about 7 months since surgery. And just not to long ago maybe a month already I have been feeling a lump on my left side of my Jaw. I squish it and it hurts and feels like maybe my implant went under? I feel a stick feeling... Not sure if it may be my implant or tissue building up as my surgeon said last week when I called.. I'm not sure what it is but I can still eat and move my jaw fine but I'm just scared.
Over 6 months after the replacement of Medpor RZ square extended chin implant (5mm projection) with the same, but slightly bigger model (7mm) I ended up having two soft lumps on the each side of my jawline, which makes my face look irregular and asymmetrical. But when I gently press the lumps with my fingers, then my jawline becomes 100% regular, so it's clear that the implant is correctly positioned but the soft tissue is a problem in my case. What is it and how can I get rid of it?
My surgeon is even puzzled about this... Why is my body keep on rejecting chin implant? 1st implant done in March 28 2018. Removed in April 30 after the implant became exposed. Re-implanted in August 18 then removed again in September 28 after it tried to get out of my chin. This time my surgeon mentioned that he anchored it to avoid movement. However, just last night, I noticed a lump under my chin as if the implant is again trying to escape. Why is that and what do I do since this procedure really improved my appearance?
Dear doctors please help. I got chin implant and a neck liposuction it was a month ago in this picture. I have little hard lumps on my neck still and I feel that the implant isn't really right for me. I was so depressed I hated my lower lip looked smaller due to the big curve under it, should I've gotten a genioplasty instead to look more natural and feminine? Or it will look worse? Would it be dangerous for me to remove it and undergo another type? I will appreciate any help as I am very sad now
I will get some random swelling and pain from time to time on either side but for two weeks straight I have had excruciating pain on one side. I can feel a large lump on the edge of the implant and it almost feels like the edge isn't laying flush with my bone anymore. And now there appears to be a red mark kind of spidering out from the lump. Is this an infection of some sort or has my implant just moved? Will it heal on its own?
I had buccal fat pad removal and a chin implant 7 weeks ago. My right cheek feels bigger than the left. I have a hard lump in the middle of my chin . Plastic surgeon says it will dissolve by it's time. What can it be it feels like a hard little ball
I received a custom-made Medpor chin implant (placed in with screws) 5 months ago. When Im not smiling, the chin implant looks symmetric and everything is fine. However, when I smile wide, a lump forms on the left side of my chin, making it very asymmetric. A lot of squishy tissues make up the lump, and I can press against the lump and flatten it against the solid chin to make it symmetric. I think it might be scar tissue under my chin that piles up on that one side when I smile. What do I do?
chin revision from a medpor to a smaller sillicon. Semi soft lumps not going anywhere both sides of jawline after 4months. Went to couple doctors local and they all told me it's scar tissue. One saw my incision under the chin is pretty thick too and told me thats Y I also have internal scar lumps due to thick skin. Some says at least wait till 6months to do steroid while some says l can do it now. When should I do it? Any chance scar tissue wont respond to steroid?is surgical removal possible?
I am one week post op from a chin implant; external incision. The scar is swollen/protruded, and is somewhat hard & lumpy. Will the scar ever flatten out? And I also have lumps on either side of my chin, in the jowl area, that are somewhat sore. Is this normal swelling? Will it go away?
61 days PO lf/nk lift/chin implant w/lipo under chin&neck. Drainage tubes for 2 days. 2 wks PO, a lump formed near top left of trachea. PS said it was coagulated plasma & cortisone shot would break it up. A month later, no change and he was perplexed--wasn't sure it was a hardened seroma afterall because of high location. any definitive ideas of what it is and should I get 2nd opinion?
