Hi, I got a chin implant done a year ago and I kinda dont like it at all... I can also feel that I have something on my chin. Sometimes feels like I have something heavy on my face, like ik I have an implant on my face and can feel it. Also when I do a certain expression with my mouth I can see a line on my chin ,. And feel my stitches or is it the implant. I got it done through the inside of my mouth. Any idea why it's like that or is it normal?
I have had my chin implant for over a year and have been able to feel the implant wing when I put my finger in my mouth. I feel no pain, it isn't uncomfortable, and I like the way the implant looks. My only worry is what is the likeliness that my chin implant wing would extrude into my mouth?
I got a chin Implant a year ago and now Im starting to feel the implant when I stretch my face or just in general when Im not doing anything. Its been like this for a few days. Why am I feeling this and will it go away?
I can feel it riding just under the back molars of my mouth on one side? Chin implant operation done 3 weeks ago, submental, size large. The right side of my lower lip and chin are still numb. The left side feels completely normal, and it feels like the wing of the implant is in a proper position (can't feel in my gums or mouth at all). But on my numb side, I can feel something hard and bony all the way near my teeth. I saw my PS 2 days ago, he said it was my own bone because the wings of the implant are not long enough to go all the way back there. Is this normal?
I've had a my chin implant for slightly over a year now and it's had numbness and tightness the entire time. I thought it would eventually get back to normal but it never did. But tonight I was feeling the inside of my mouth and realized I can actually feel the implant from inside my mouth. I can only feel it on the numb side. Does this mean that the implant is too high and is pressing on my mental nerve? Is there any chance that removing it will relieve some of the pressure/tightness/numbness?
Hi, I had rhinoplasty with a chin implant 13 days ago. While everything is healing nicely, I am still very numb in my bottom lip. I know that numbness is caused by the stretching of the nerves along the jaw and can last 2-3 weeks up to several months. The numbness is making it very difficult to talk and smile. I am still wearing the chin strap at night as per my doctor's recommendation. What can I do to help the numbness go away? Are there massages or stretches I can do to help speed up the process?
My chin implant doesn't look crooked but I can feel the edges and it wasn't placed very symmetrically. You cannot really tell looking at me straight in. I've been noticing indentations from the sides of where the implant is and my cheek fat makes it look weird.
I can feel my chin implant wings end from outside my jaw line.. Asthetically its all right a little pimple size implant is pointi out and can be seen..i am at 4 day post oparative stage...my sergeon said it is alr8 will go away with healing..i want to know that will the silicone implant couse my skin to tear from inside..or will there other problm if i leav it like this
If you get a silicone chin implant, will it feel like bone when you touch your chin? Can you wiggle it or does it feel actually connected to the bone and not move when you grab it? I'm afraid it would feel like the soft tissue. Also, how much force does it take for it to move out of place once its finished healing? For example, if someone punched my chin, would it be able to move out of place? Another concern I have is as you age, will the chin implant shift downward or feel unnatural to the touch?
