my chin implant/lipo around neck was done 6 wks ago, the incision was healing fine until 2 wks ago i wore the strap too tight it seemed to be the best way to help with the swelling the tighter i wore it.. that night incision was little red, next morning blood-bubble-like breakout w/ non-smelly yellow mucus/drainage little blood, applied antiseptic for a wk better but didn't stop the mucus, dr. rx'ed antibiotics Bactrim and Cipro also OTC antibi oitment 4 days ago but still yellow mucus, itching.
I had a chin implant and neck lipo 5 weeks ago. My chin looks slightly bolbous making it look and feel like it is too big. Could it still be slightly swollen? My lower lip still not entirely feeling back to 100% yet, and the lip looks slightly smaller. I have a little problem eating (the likes of pizza) and sometimes bite my lip if not careful. I can no longer see my bottom teeth but truth be told I feel like it has relaxed SOME. Tho perhaps it is wishful thinking? Is this all normal?
I have before asked about this bumps that I got after my chin implant surgery for about tre weeks ago. Its now gone about 6 weeks since my surgery. I still feel and can actually see one of the bumps on one side of my jawline now, since its seems bigger then the other one, and seems my swelling is gone down a lot. The bumps make my jawline look uneven. My implant is silicone with wings, and I'm still thinking it is the end of my implant wing that I can feel. It feels every hard like stone when I touch it. My sister also got chin implant surgery with the same doctor and the same material. She also got the bumps, but only on one side of her jawline. I'm afraid that it is the wings thats got fold upon themselves. I have also read this from a blog, a doctor wrote. He wrote something about that is since the silicone chin implant have a very thin wings, this is possible that is can fold or buckle is the implant pocket is not dissected far enough back. I have done my surgery in Iran, and when I call my doctor, he doesn't explain it for me and just says thats it will go away. I have been thinking that if it is the case, thats my wings has fold, is it possible to do surgery where the doctor can fixe the wings from inside the mouth? My surgery is done under the chin and I scar is not so pretty. Whats will you recommend? I apologize for my english, I'm from sweden.
I had a lot of swelling at first, but things seem to be healing nicely now. I still notice some tightness in my lower jaw and I have a slight headache almost daily. Is this from my chin implant and the jaw strain causing the headache and does it go away over time?
I got a medium silicone chin implant 6 weeks ago via intraoral and after the swelling went down I noticed I had deeper cavities below the corners of my mouth. (both sides) - Have you heard of similar cases after a chin implant? - Would removing the chin implant fix it? - My smile has returned to normal pretty quickly and the sensation of the chin is improving. I am considering removal since I want my volume back. I don't want to get any fillers at all I'm just 22. Please help me.
Hello! I had an chin implant placed five weeks ago. (incision placed under the chin) For about 1 week ago i had a cold, since then i had a lot of problems. Last week i had to go to emergency, they think this was an allergic reaction?! One week has passed now and my lips are still very swollen, pale and small... Can someone tell me whats going on? Is my body rejecting this silicone implant?
I am six weeks post op on a chin augmentation. Feeling has returned on the left side of my lower lip and chin, but I have no feeling on the right and I can't move my lip like I should. I met with my surgeon and he said that the feeling and normal movement would return. I also experience pain on the right side of the implant, especially when I smile too big or sleep on that side of my face. It feels like an irritated nerve but the surgeon said its not. I'm concerned neither problem is resolving.
I must've rolled over after I feel asleep, because when I woke up, I was leaning on my chin implant. I am 6 weeks post-op. Is there any possibility that I could have shifted the implant? There was throbbing and a bit if pain in the area for about 30-40 minutes after I was up. Thank you.
