I had a silicone chin implant inserted under my chin on March 5th. I started having twitching on my lower left side of my chin a day ago. It twitches every couple of seconds and its also visible from the outside. Its constant and driving me crazy. Prior to all of this I had a pretty smooth recovery. Didnt experience much numbness at all. Should I be concerned that the twitching is happening now? Unrelated but I have a revision schedule in July, not happy with current shape/size.
It was done 2-1/2 months ago,I dont like the size of my implant, it is small than expected The dr. did the surgery from inside due to which the stitches are up on my gums and everytime I talk/laugh I have a funny smile/funny laugh, and could feel a lump inside my mouth. Is this normal?I can feel the wing of implant on the left side too. So, i want to do revision surgery to cut those stitched muscles inside and make the implant medium side from the cut under the chin, is it possible to do it now?
I got my chin implant on December 22 2018. Since the beginning I noticed that the wings were below the jaw line. My surgeon sait it was because of the inflammation. Inflammation is now gone and the wings more visible. Three weeks ago he said it was fibrosis which I still have a little below my chin but not on the sides. A week ago he didn't mention the fibrosis but said it will look better in time. Will the wings move upwards at least to the jaw line? I love the projection, not loving the lump.
I noticed my chin implant seemed to be a bit higher about 8 weeks post op. I then started to notice some swelling around my jaw line and the side of my face. The implant looked great after surgery. After asking my boyfriend if he thought it looked different and if my face looked swollen he said yes. So I sent some pics to the doctor asking if it might be infected. He was not concerned because there was no jaw work done. He did prescribe antibiotics. I see my old chin below my implant now
I had a silastic chin implant placed 9 weeks ago under the chin. The right wing was inserted too high as I can feel it inside my mouth through my gums. I also have numbness on the right side of my bottom lip and chin. I believe it may be compressing my mental nerve. I am scheduled to have the implant removed in 2 weeks. Am I too far out after my surgery to expect any recovery if it is sitting on a nerve? And if my nerves were not compromised, how much time will it take to recover?
Large size silicone chin implant removed, its been 2 1/2 months now and my chin muscle still flexing (muscle contraction). When it's flexing, my chin is deformed. It looks very scary :( My surgeon said its normal, he did say it will take another 2 months for the symptoms to disappear. I am still scared. How long will this last? Will my chin go back to normal? Is this even normal? Thank you so much
7 weeks ago I got a chin implant, medpor 7 mm. I have numbness in a tooth, lower jaw. If I put pressure on the side of my chin I can feel a strange sensation in the tooth. I have talked to my surgeon and he just waves it of, saying that the nerve to the tooth is not affected. Well, obviously it is! Does the implant look weird/too big and what can be causing my numb tooth? Also not happy with the look of the incision. It's not straight... Is that normal?
Hi.. 2.5 months ago I exchanged my silicon 7 mm button implant to a silicone anatomical 12 mm, both placed submentally. The previous one was placed too high and tilted so I had it exchanged, now the area where the old implant was is still swollen and ruins the shape of the new implant. Is this the capsule from the old implant or just post op swelling? Is there anything I can do to help it shrink or dissolve faster? The old implant was there for 7 months before revision. Thank you.
i had my chin implant removed after almost two months. i did it this morning. i am very swollen and i feel my lower face i mean my mouth and my chin has so much projection is going toward front. i don't know if i am explaining this right or not but when would i see the real chin i had and is there any damage involve , i smeeld burning also while he was soing it , can some help me please, and i have pain too :(
I had a rhinoplasty with chin implant augmentation because it was suggested by the surgeon to improve my profile, a few days later I noticed i could see something transparent at the left side of the incision I was afraid it could be the implant I talked to the doctor about this and he says that effectively its the implant showing, he said i should wait till friday (5 more days), and if its not healed He'll take it off. he said I might be rejecting the implant, help please.
