My main issue, and area my age shows is the smile lines and my thinning upper lip. I feel lucky at 49 1/2 my skin is relatively wrinkle free. My main issue, and area my age shows however is the smile lines & my thinning upper lip. I am a big fan of chemical peels. I know filler is best for smile lines but I heard, albeit rarely, you can go blind if injected wrong. I would prefer a peel or laser for my mouth area. Would it help? I think woman in 40s are at their most beautiful, so Im not looking for a drastic change, but want it to be worth the time and $.
I got a chemical peel 20 days ago and the day after my peel my upper lip was basically burned. It scabbed and was very pink and sensitive underneath. Now it is dark brown and I want to know the best recommendation for treatment? I went back to the place I got it done at after 2 weeks and they told me its still healing and to come back in 2 weeks. I didnt agree so I went to another dermatologist and they said that its PIH. I am looking for opinions on whether or not this can be treated?
I want to begin the process of getting peels to help the texture/pigmentation of my skin but I have a philtrum piercing that I'm not willing take out. I've had it for 7 months so it's healed and in no way fresh, but they can close quite quickly (sometimes within a few hours). The bars I use are made of bioplastic and I can put a longer one in to account for any swelling that may occur.
I had a Vitalize peel 5 days ago. My skin peeled well and I can see and feel smooth new skin all over the face. However, jaw area and some parts of upper lip feel rough, scabby , dry, tight. It seems like it is kinda peeling again... that area also stings a little when I apply aquaphor . Is this area still peeling? I am worried about PIH so wanted to start putting some hydrocortisone in this area as a prevention. Thoughts? Pics attached from today ( day 5 of peel )
I have slight darkness that resembles a moustache on my upper lip and makes me look manly in my opinion and several family members have also commented on it. Can a peel get rid of this? If so what kind? It's not severe as you see in my pics but it's still bothersome and I just want all my skin smooth and even and glowing- not all except this random grayish black stripe above my lip
