I just got a peel done 2 days ago and my face has started to peel today. Is it okay to only use a lotion with sunblock such as Cera ve AM? Would that be moisturizing and hydrating enough on its own (even at night) or do i need to use a lotion and sunblock separately to ensure i am not compromising on hydration?
I wasnt thinking and used a spray sunscreen (which contains alcohol) on day 4 post peel. It stung really bad and now my face is super red and feels like its constantly burning. What is the potential risk with this? Did I damage my new baby skin? If so, how bad? What recommendations do you have to help the situation?
I got hyper pigmentation after chemical peeling .. it wasnt too much brown patches but it really get me annoyed.. My dermatologist gave me a formula of Hydroquinone 8% Kojic acid 4 % Tretinoin 0.1% And he told me to use this formula on the darker patches just before bedtime. And to use skinceuticals vitamin c & e in the daytime + sunscreen. I have used this formula 3 days and the patches are very irritated so i stopped using it for 2 days till now. Photos attached.

Hi, I got a mild chemical peels a few months ago. I completely forgot to put on sunscreen the first day but I was working at home in a computer the whole day without no exposure to direct sunlight . I didnt realized it until the evening that I missed this very important step. Could I have permanently damage my skin? I am asking this question now because I started to.m noticed a lot of fine lines in my lower check when I smiled and they were never there before. I am 42 years old. Thanks so much
I didnt pull or tug my skin when it was peeling after a chemical peel, i let it come off naturally but the new skin underneath is still very red and sore, ive been using sun screem spf 60 and was very careful, but why is my new skin so sore and red, i can only use petroleum jelly every thing else stings. It was a 25% 14 n butyl resorcinol peel and i think there was a mixture of other stuff too. Im a skin type 4
Got a peel on Saturday (today is monday) and I've noticed my skin feeling tight (a dry tight) but no flaking or peeling. I look tanned too. avoiding direct sun and wearing sunscreen with spf 30. The medical esthetician said i would see flaking or peeling and not touch it. I havent noticed anything of the sort. very worried about hyperpigmentation because I am olive skinned. Do I have anything to worry about? Received a vivier skin peel with 2% salicylic acid 10% lactic acid and 14% Resorcinol:
My dermatologist did a 70% Glycholic Peeling Wednesday. My skin look horrible. I have areas witch look burned and are peeling and I have red- brown patches that looks like melted, burned skin and won't peel. Skin is itching very bad.My Dr sayed I should just wash my face once a day, use a sun screen every 3-4 h and use a moisturizer (called mesoestetic post-procedure fast skin repair). He told me I shouldn't worry because I will not have scars left but at this point I don't believe him.PLEASE HELP
I am 59 and have fair skin. I've had 4 basal cell carcinomas removed with Mohs surgery (none within the last 5 years). I wear sunscreen every day. I have areas of hyperpigmentation on my cheeks. Also, I have broken capillaries in both cheeks. Would a peel, like the Obagi blue peel be an option to address my skintone issues? Or is there another treatment that would be better?
